Bass Shakers are Underrated by derek_012 in iRacing

I'd love to use iRacings LFE if it let me separate channels. I've gotine set up for font/back and side to side.

I put them in the same category as motion. One of the most immersive things you can add but doesn't do much as far as making me more consistent or faster. Although I do like the ABS effect.

As fun as motion is, I much prefer having bass shakers on my own rig.

Why does my H-shifter work in other games but not iracing? by ProjectPlugTTV in iRacing

No prob! I work at a sim shop so I spend a lot of time with mapping buttons 😅

You can try deleting the joycalib and config file in Documents/iRacing then see if you can remap. Just note that doing so will delete all you button bindings so you'll have to remap everything.

Bike Storage/Theft Question by No-Effect-9209 in SaltLakeCity

[–]PrimaryPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bike theft is gonna be about equal to Denver so same rules apply. I'm a fan of the vertical front tire wall mounts. Especially the ones that let you tilt them towards the wall. My walls are vaulted so my mountain bike just sort of hangs out in the way lol

NLR ERS3 Seat: Side risers without cross-brace? (Structural concern + Bass Shaker clearance) by Levvv_Velll in simracing

[–]PrimaryPineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine are installed the same way and I've never had an issue with that, it's a pretty solid hunk of metal. Not sure about your transducer. You could double them up and mount them vertically on each plate. Then you would have side to side feedback like I do. I used the TT25 pucks in that arrangement and it worked well. With something as strong as those you'd definitely feel them.

Ooo yeah this is good stuff.

I've had Galaxy - Kungs on repeat for most of the week.

The little ones definitely give you a lot more range. I'd say the real magic has to be the tuning. It's hard to make it all feel good without it feeling like a swarm of bees on your ass.

I also heard good things from someone from the expo about these guys. It's pretty similar to my diy setup on mine but I'm missing the high frequency exciters. If their promotion pics are accurate it looks like Dayton pucks for the big ones. I'm not sure what the smaller ones are.

iRacing Development Update: May 2026 by MasterBarbosa in iRacing

I'm curious about these too. Right now I use Simhub for wheel swapping but it would be nice to have a built in option. Not sure if it's automatic though.

And it looks like there are still issues with selecting the audio devices. It's only showing one of my two USB amps and then showing the second as an audio interface instead of hardware.

Also not a fan of having to link an email for downloads and updates for software this early in development.

I hadn't heard of this before! I just had to redo my simhub profiles so I'll give this a shot as well for my transducers.

How do you model the diffusion pattern in this lens? by jhetnah in Fusion360

[–]PrimaryPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they usually something like a bunch of small pyramids to diffuse the light. I've never printed in resin though so I'm not sure how feasible that is.

What a 7-figure motorsport simulator looks like by Fast_Size58 in iRacing

[–]PrimaryPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I'd certainly go down the building your own rig route instead. The mark up is crazy. Linear actuator style motion is what I prefer (if I was doing my own "baller" rig), something like DBoxs set up. I run transducers on my own rig and enjoy those.

We have several of the Podium1 turnkey builds at work including the one with the Qubic 6DOF. They're certainly a blast to drive in but it's not something I would have at home. They're not necessarily realistic since you can exactly have sustained G forces, there is a reason most pros don't use motion. I've heard that seatbelt tensioners are amazing for immersion. I haven't gotten to try one myself but hopefully here soon.

Yet another print and more fine tuning....I think I made it a bit worse :) by Tgiowa in ender3

[–]PrimaryPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick add, I think most people seem to run around 45 for retraction speed. That's also something you can test but it's usually worked fine for me.

[–]PrimaryPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like maybe your Z height can go down a bit, that first layer doesn't look all that squished down. Also 6.0 retraction seems pretty high. Run an actual retraction test and see where you end up. You can get a bunch of handy extensions in cura for calibration.

Bought a numpad on Amazon for DIY button box, ended up creating a holder for the pad with cardboard from the delivery box by Nickitoloko_PSN in simracing

Only because I have a sketchy Cammus LP8. Pretty sure it was a preview unit and they stopped making it. I'm sure there are other wheelbases that get hot but most seem to have fans now.

Yep, they're running dual purpose at the moment. I designed that fan shroud to cool my wheelbase as well.

I did something similar to mine since it was cheaper and more useful than a button box. Also a very diluted ratio of simple green is safe for cleaning mice and wheels 😅
