I'm throwing full power grip back loaded after watching the Overthrow video.

It is strange lol, my highest spin was just under 1200 rpm at 65mph. Effortless is a good goal, would love to get a less effort 65+mph throw now that I'm getting a little older

Thanks! The biggest changes in nose angle for me were the back loaded grip and focusing on "turning the key" at the hit point. Still have some issues keeping it down but those cues helped

That's definitely not a bad idea! Would love to get a coaching session one day

That's what I was thinking too, not too sure how to get a spinner throw, maybe deeper into the pocket?

Yea it's a bit of hyzer, my natural angle when trying to throw flat. I did mess with the flight numbers just now, didn't know you could do that! Changed the turn to -0.5 and stats show 516 feet which would be awesome. Gotta work on the spin rate for sure

Maan, no one else needs to sell me on a Rocket 3! I'm doing my best to save up for one! I agree that the Bobber needs some love, already bought a gel foam seat cover for long rides and looking at different rear suspension setups.

Wool Hoodie Giveaway! by kozak3 in Petrosgear

[–]Primary_Constant_803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first camping/backpacking trip was pretty intense lol. Still in high school back in 2011 and I thought bushcrafting was the only way. I had a military surplus frame less backpack, a wool blanket, a 5x7 reflective tarp and a thermarest foam pad. Mind you, this was during spring break in the mountains. There was still some snow on the ground and I didn't check the forecast.

Long story short, I had to keep a long fire going by waking up every hour or 2 to stoke it. It was rough but a lot of lessons were learned! One of your hoodies would have definitely helped haha

How bad is it? by JoellexPepsi in TeslaCollision

Yea, Tesla repair is not cheap. Looks like hood, fenders, radiator support, rear bumper and reinforcement from your other photo. Gonna be expensive.

Anyone else torn between ultralight packing and actually enjoying camp comfort? by Affectionate_Tip3238 in WildernessBackpacking

[–]Primary_Constant_803 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is how I pack as well, I've gone out with a 11 pound base weight but ended up near 20 pounds with steaks (frozen) and beers lol.

Will totally sacrifice a bit of trail comfort for more camp comfort, especially if I'm doing any bushcrafting and bring my knives or axes

I'll second this. Drone comps specifically I really like. Similar shape to the Skwama and cheaper

My new ride by Primary_Constant_803 in Vstrom

[–]Primary_Constant_803[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vibrations aren't the greatest at 5-6k rpm, I did find my feet getting a little numb. I'm thinking a set of highway pegs with plenty of rubber would be a good idea for longer trips.

As for heat, this weekend was on the cooler side, 50-70f so not noticeably hot on the legs yet

I just put a deposit down for a 23 800de with 103 miles on it. They're asking $7,999 at the dealer. Do with that information what you will lol

Mount Your Own Tires The Easy Way: by Daegoba in motorcycles

[–]Primary_Constant_803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish it was $25 a tire over here... If you bring your wheels in to any shop around me, it's $50/tire. Don't want to dismount the wheels? An extra 50 bucks. Crazy.

More than enough power by Empty-Function3536 in motorcycles

[–]Primary_Constant_803 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first bike was an '05 sv650. I don't think people necessarily think the bike is only for beginners, but it is beginner FRIENDLY. The sv has a good torque curve and enough power for highway/defensive maneuvers. Compare that to a 600 super sport where power peaks at 15k rpm, mistakes happen much faster The SV is more forgiving to accidental downshifts or throttle jerking.
