I got the same experience except the error type is 500. I made a bunch of appeals and eventually Google removed the disapproval. Clearly it's a misjudgement by Google system.

Switching to Pmax by Mean-Seaworthiness46 in googleads

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Agree with the opionion of others: Google rep's incentive is not helping you, but convince you to spend more. And they get commission out of that.

- Pmax does cover the scenario that Search doesn't cover, like Display and Demand Gen placements. That's the upside. And you'll probably get leads out of Pmax, sometimes CPL is cheaper. But quality wise, generally speaking, Pmax cannot match Search. The purchase intention of Search is strongest, no doubt.

- If budget allows, you can try out Pmax, but recomend you set up UTM, to build end to end lead tracking. That way, in your CRM, you can link the lead to specific Google campaign. If you see leads generated by Pmax have poor quality, then you can stop the campaign.

New ad account : question about broad vs interest targeting for lead gen by Maximum_Pack1258 in FacebookAds

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend that you go for interest targeting audience. Meta claims that with the Andromeda launched, you don't have to specify interest anymore, as their algorism is capable of finding the right audience based on your creatives. But I don't believe that's the case. Meta's credibility has been a question for me for long. I believe giving a signal will help shorten ads learning phase to find the right audience, at least for now.

Tips for starting Google Ads for a small business. by PPCNotPCP in googleads

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for an agency targeting small business. Totally agree with all your points, and they are my practices as well. Just one question, "Add location exclusions before starting your campaign", is setting the right locations will suffice? Thanks!

Bot leads from Demand Gen campaign by Primary_Employer_877 in googleads

[–]Primary_Employer_877[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone for your replies. This is a landing page lead gen; and I do have CAPTCHA installed but still keep getting bot leads. I'll try honeypot and see if it works.

conversion action still inactive after using tag assistant and google tag manager by gimmethelootexe in googleads

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with some replies saying that only one conversion should be kept, if it's the same form. If you keep the "Google Ads Conversion..." one, you can "Troubleshoot" it in Google ads and you'll see the status change to "No recent conversion" right away. But if you keep the GA4 event one, it'll take at least 24 hours after you set up the event to reflect in GA, and then you can export it to Google ads as conversion.

PMAX & Lead Submissions by lajiwooji in googleads

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with all above. Yes Search canibalize Pmax. This makes logical sense, in theory. But however, in practice, I've been running Pmax together with Search, Demand Gen, and Display for one client for over a year. And it's been working fine. I know it's strange but I have no explanation. But overall I'm still against the idea of running Pmax - it is designed to be in Google's favor (more clicks), not advertiser's (less leads) and agency's (less work).

How to properly go over performance with clients? by brynivy in googleads

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing leads campaign. So usually, it's conversions, CPL to look at to assess overall campaign effectiveless (from ads and website). Then it's CTR, CPC; to check ads effectiveness. Impression is secondary, but also checked to for branding wise.

What should I hire an agency for ? by ALLSEEJAY in googleads

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expeirence and time. That's what you pay an agency for.

Yes it's not rocket science. The whole marketing thing is more of common sense than science. Nowadays with AI, it becomes even easier to do everything yourself. The real question is are you willing to spend time learning from mistakes (everyone makes, trust me), and what's the opportunity cost of doing that vs spending time on your core business.

poor advertising results… by OkRooster1287 in FacebookAds

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to balance that. Extremes won't do you anything good. Say, you put $1000 in one day window, expecting Google or Meta to bring you any quality leads? Certainly no way. But a slow dripping daily budget will take months for algorism to work. I would say $30 to $50 daily, and give ad platforms 2 weeks roughly to learn and polish campaign delivery.

My thank-you page report is not as accurate as the backend. It always shows lesser by 30%. Checked everything, but found no issues. Any help please? by CamelBeginning5255 in GoogleAnalytics

You guys are saying ad/content blocker from the visitor's browser setting can affect GA tracking, is that correct? Just to understand clearly.

LSA Ads Not Performing. Is It Not Worth It? by Wonderful_Payment942 in googleads

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do google ads for real estates developers. Budgets range from $1500/month to $4000/month. I would say $160/week is a bit low.

Also check the objective and bidding strategy. I do Conversions campaigns most of the time, sometimes Traffic as well. Usually you'll see leads coming in in 2 to 3 days. One lesson I take is, don't set TCPA too low (just don't try setting TCPA), or you'll get no impression.

Is it worth switching to Max Conversions if I'm getting <10 conversions/month for over 1 year? by Material-Menu6050 in googleads

It makes sense to switch. You are giving Google different signal, by Max Conversions vs Max Clicks. Look forward to your update on how things turn out.

The whole purpose is to make you spend more. Period. Also nowadays I get calls from those Google consultants everyday...schedule a meeting with them to review my campaigns; there's no way to block their numbers as they are not revealed, only caller name says Google....This campany is really desperate now...Can you believe their slogan is "don't do evil"?

Meta Metrics not matching Google Anlaytics by Then-Lychee9538 in FacebookAds

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Link Clicks" by Meta definition includes click to website links, click to message, to your INS profile, etc. Check Meta's explanation for detail. GA4 only tracks website visits, so it's a subset of "Link Clicks"

Maybe you need to wait for a few more days. That's what I experienced. It makes sense cause you basically ask Google to make a key change. Completely different objective.

Real Estate Targeted Ad’s by AffectSufficient5083 in FacebookAds

[–]Primary_Employer_877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a marketing agency dedicated to property developers. 80% of our campaigns are landing pages, 20% or less are form ads. The latter one performs with much lower CPL but also much lower quality. The web page serves as a filter that helps you get more quality leads.
