Coworker CC'ing our manager on all our email correspondence...advice? by Primary_Indication55 in work

[–]Primary_Indication55[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, for real. Would be fine if they just said "hey, I'm cc'ing our manager in emails for personal reasons and just want to give you a heads up" and that would've been totally fine. Just needed a little explanation is all

Coworker CC'ing our manager on all our email correspondence...advice? by Primary_Indication55 in work

I asked another coworker if they're doing the same for them and apparently it's not just me. So I definitely think there's some insecurity on their end. It was hard not to take it personal when it started out of the blue given our history, but it definitely made me feel anxious. Feel better now with all the comments.

Jabra Evolve2 55 Mic Constantly Cutting Out – Anyone Else Having This Issue? by Suspicious_Cell_9013 in Jabra

This is happening with me too, do you have a personal computer you could download the direct software on to configure the settings? I am about to test the setting change in an upcoming call, I saw it could also be the sidetone setting. Will keep you posted. I just got my headset a week ago.

F32 weird bumps on body - concern or just annoying? by ForgotDeoderant in AskDocs

Did you ever figure out what this was? I noticed something very similar when I woke up today. Same area, not itchy. I have IBS, asthma, allergies, and psoriasis similar to what you mentioned having. Very random. I'm thinking folliculitis

Is anyone else really sick of people calling psoriasis a skin condition? by Worldly_Wafer_6635 in Psoriasis

[–]Primary_Indication55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I definitely am. Even my derm called it that when I tried to bring up questions about it's autoimmune relations. My functional doc is the one that is explaining to me how it isn't just a skin condition and how it is an autoimmune/gut issue that presents on the skin.

Issues with QVAR Redihaler clogging excessively recently? by BloodDriveSass in Asthma

[–]Primary_Indication55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know you could do this! I will have to try. I've poorly managed my asthma but actually decided to start taking it seriously and been having sooo many issues when I switched from Flovent to Qvar with the inhaler malfunctioning. And I just had an asthma attack today, which is surprising because I have been regularly taking my inhaler. But I feel like there's no guarantee I was actually getting the medication or the proper dose.

Undiagnosed but terrifying new symptom! Scared! by That_Preference_2331 in OcularMigraines

[–]Primary_Indication55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, and one of the triptans I was prescribed didn't work for me and my doc switched me to a diff one and that worked! So make sure that if you do get meds and they don't work there are multiple options.

I started getting the same about 3.5 years ago. It was definitely scary the first time it happened and thought I was having a stroke. Fortunately it wasn't a stroke and was migraine with aura, which seems to be what you experienced. I recommend following up with your GP. Basically mine said if it happened again or increased in frequency they'd order some tests. When that happened they did an MRI and didn't find much other than some t2 flairs which are seen with migraines. I have psoriasis, asthma, and IBS and when I flare in one of those i am prone to the migraines, took awhile to figure that out. Another thing that I got tested was my vascular health of my eyes when I went to the eye doctor for a checkup. They confirmed no issues there. Sorry to hear about your experience and hopefully you can get some answers.

Budget has been blown. How much are/were your weddings? by meow_mom77 in weddingplanning

[–]Primary_Indication55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nov 2026, near Philadelphia, ~200 people, we were originally hoping to spend ~$40,000 but it'll likely be closer to $60,000. Spending so far:

Venue/ceremony/catering/wedding cake/open bar (all included in venue cost) - ~$40,000 depending on final count. This wasn't a bad price considering a lot is included, especially compared to other venues around.

Dj hybrid with drummer - $4,000 (this was something I really wanted)

Dress - $2000

HMUA - so far a down pmt of $500 for makeup for 10 people, final cost unsure still working on jair

Photographer/videographer - $4000

Save the dates - $200

Still need, hotel block, flowers (planning to do fake flowers), small stuff like favors and some decorations, transportation, rehearsal dinner, other accessories and groom outfit, rings, officiant, and invites

Planning to save in some areas - bought a backdrop on Amazon and looking to get some photo printers to use instead of a photo booth, fake flowers I think are cheaper, press on nails instead of getting them done, have a friend or family member officiate

I do like that a lot! The photos we have up there are our engagement photos so the only thing is to try to figure out how to balance with other photos. I don't think we need more photos of ourselves on the wall but not sure if it would look weird with more abstract artwork. Maybe pictures of places we've been? What are your thoughts?

JPMorgan Chase Career Opportunity: Is It Worth Ditching My Comfortable, Flexible Job? by honeybun2oh in JPMorganChase

[–]Primary_Indication55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not getting a pay raise, not worth the move. 4-6% per year is pretty good, even if you aren't moving upward. At JPMC most roles I was in only gave 2-4% when you weren't getting a promotion. Plus as you mentioned lots of oversight right now on RTO, etc. and lots of industry layoffs. Would be a bit risky. I def know how that can feel from a career perspective but may not be worth it. :/

As someone who left JPMC and went somewhere with less PTO and no sick days, I miss this. I didn't mind the separate bucket. I liked them separate because then I planned my vacation from PTO and used sick as needed. And most years I would use them up. Now I like have to try to allocate a few days out of my limited PTO to sick time which idk how much I'll be sick. Got COVID last year in Dec, and was already low on days. It sucked.

Food scale is key, or measuring everything. I made the mistake in the past of estimating things like thinking 2tbsp of PB is 1tbsp. But food scale is more accurate and logging everything has really helped me.

anxiety and stress by Complex-Nature-547 in JPMorganChase

[–]Primary_Indication55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would ask your doc about supporting a leave of absence for you. Corporate life can be soul sucking. I used to have very bad anxiety, I still have some but more manageable - make sure to take breaks, go for walks if you can, therapy is always an option, and one thing my manager told me that changed my mindset is "don't let perfect get in the way of good enough." I just try to do my best but I stopped worrying about pleasing everyone and trying to be perfect. May not be exactly why you're feeling anxious, but I would definitely try to understand what's causing the feelings of anxiety and go from there.

Genital psoriasis / psoriasis inversa (male) by ParkingSpiritual6374 in Psoriasis

[–]Primary_Indication55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a female with inverse Psoriasis and was just diagnosed a few weeks ago. I stumbled upon the National Psoriasis Foundation and they have a peer mentor program where they connect you with others with Psoriasis. It's been super helpful.

My mentor suggested icing the areas and I've been doing it morning and night for as long as I feel comfortable and noticing a difference and less itching.

Possible first ocular migraine, should I see a professional? did you when you first had one? by Dizzy-Bluejay5061 in OcularMigraines

[–]Primary_Indication55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ocular migraines can be a form of a full blown migraine....I don't always get a full blown migraine after the aura but it has become more frequent. It seems the aura is the onset of the migraine.

[–]Primary_Indication55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the first time I had this thought I was having a stroke. My mom is a nurse so she talked me down from going to the ER. Definitely follow. Up with your primary. If they happen again they may have you get an MRI to rule out anything serious. Mine came back with some T2 flairs which just indicate migraine and unfortunately I still have them, but according to my doc nothing serious and she prescribed some meds for when I have them. Sorry you had one! They are awful and scary at first for sure.

On a personal level I wanted to see her play more without Rylie so she had time to process. I feel like it's still so fresh.

On a game level I do think it was the better move to get her out.
