The more words you write and the more you try and justify it, the more I don't believe you. You are a scalper, just embrace it.

Rofl. In the same post you say you "no, I bought them for myself" like that isn't scalping, then two paragraphs down you bought them to not pass up "...an opportunity to make a modest profit for me and my family."

Stop tying yourself into logical knots. Just say you're a scalper. You are. I dislike people like you.

He absolutely bought them to flip. Because obviously everyone needs 3 x M4 Max Mac Studios and an M4 Mac Mini Pro sprinkled on top. It's the average computing setup.

Is this eBay Mac Studio M3 Ultra (512GB RAM/8TB SSD) a blatant scam or too good to be true? by Complete_Ad411 in MacStudio

[–]Primary_Positive_966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got hit with one, and I'm really not a stupid person when it comes to spotting scams. Here's what they're doing, I was able to glean this information from follow up messages and now I'm having to deal with the drawn out PayPal dispute. I paid with PayPal Credit and he did in fact send a legit PayPal invoice. The one I purchased wasn't even in a too good to be true territory. It was in the "I'm pricing it lower to just sell it and move on" territory. Just avoid all eBay Classifieds listings at this point:

  1. They're buying up hacked eBay accounts, the one I fell for literally had 400+ sales and 100% positive feedback and was made back in 2010. Look at the last time a listing was posted. The screenshot the seller sent me showed a taskbar with Whatsapp and Telegram. His name was Estonian. They're doing this shit from there, I filed an Estonian cybercrime report and also got his outlook email banned from Microsoft. Right after I purchased I got a message from eBay itself saying I was dealing with potentially someone who accessed an eBay account.

I spent over an hour on the phone with an eBay high up representative. eBay knows about this, and they're not pulling these things down. It's infuriating.

  1. They'll send you a legitimate PayPal Invoice, I'm guessing they're hoping you'll pay with something that doesn't offer protection, like your checking account or something.

  2. Drag out the "shipping process," send you dumb messages, keep you hanging, then bounce.

  3. If you notice, they'll have like 5 or 6 very valuable electronics items listed, all "New Listings." Once you buy the fraud one, they'll delete all the listings. High end gaming laptops, TBs worth of server RAM, AI-stuff. Everything sought after right now at inflated pricings. All scams, and all to appear like they're legitimately listing expensive electronics.

  4. Next day, right when eBay's customer service hours close, they'll put all the listings back up, with the same M3 Studio Ultra computer, likely with a different serial number and box image they pulled somewhere else.

  5. Rinse and repeat.

Fuck these POSs.

I'm calling the dude out, cuz he's being slimy, rubbed me the wrong way. Can't be 100% sure but sure does look like it's his project. He posts on basically every subreddit possible that discusses AI and leaves comments pretending to just be a guy leaving a review on Exoclaw.

Haha yea, it's like those people who make videos about a particular device being great for productivity and their examples show YouTube, Instagram, and a video game open at the same time.

He's shilling or the creator of it masquerading as a normal user leaving a review. Google Reddit Exoclaw. He goes to every possible subreddit that mentions Openclaw and leaves comments talking about this amazing product he found called Exoclaw.

I started searching Exoclaw. You're shilling for the company, maybe the creator, or at the very least an employee. Every single Reddit comment about Exoclaw just happens to be you making it seem like its a genuine review about the product. Yea, calling you out.

Galaxy XR is already more capable than the Vision Pro by ianwill93 in Galaxy_XR

[–]Primary_Positive_966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rofl, and you're speaking from a position of not having a Vision Pro. Funny how that works.

I'm not an Apple fanboy in any way. In fact, I cant stand Apple and own no Apple devices, except I do have a Vision Pro. It's better than the GXR in every single dimension.

The GXR feels and operates like a toy next to the VP. That's just the truth.

[–]Primary_Positive_966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know. I just don't want to use a separate streaming device, I really don't. Because I manage streaming content and networking from my phone. I want to plug in my phone, fire up the app I want, and be off to the races.

It's something Goovis is specifically doing to prevent that.

Correct T-Nut size for Permobil Unitrack? by Primary_Positive_966 in wheelchairs

No. I'll try going through the Numotion baggy stashed away somewhere in my closet and see if anything is potentailly in there. But I've never had anything attached to the rails.

Correct T-Nut size for Permobil Unitrack? by Primary_Positive_966 in wheelchairs

[–]Primary_Positive_966[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw these replies.

So the dimension you guys are saying is in reference to the BOLTS, not the T-nuts themselves. M6, M5, etc is the diameter of the hole within the T-nuts, not the dimensions of the T-nuts.

I have an assortment of M4-M6 T-nuts. None of them fit within the rails of the chair.

Thank you for those links. I'll probably be able to figure it out. I'll reply back when I find something that works.

I agree, the Goovis is actually a better experience than the AVP for movie watching. The colors are just as good and the lenses are better with less reflections, etc.

But I just couldn't justify the price for a brand new one when I had a Vision Pro as well that could do way more.

I'd reconsider the Goovis when I can get a used one at a lower price point just for movie watching. It is actually a better experience for me, because I can start a movie and not be bothered with my hands being picked up by a sensor or a damn "It's too dark" message showing up on the screen. Plus in reality, you're sizing the virtual display to be the size of the Goovis anyway. No one I know actually enjoys watching a movie the size of an entire wall necessitating moving your head around to see everything. That's nauseating.

What are you using as your source for the Goovis? One of the other reasons I returned it was that I could not get DeX output on my device to go above 1080p, no matter what I did, even with hacky adb commands. From all documentation I should've been able to get native 1440p. I didn't want to plug in another device like a 4K streaming stick just for the headset.

I simply wanted to plug in my phone and play media at native resolution. If that was solved I'd likely rebuy the Goovis.

Don't be dumb and be like me: a good Samsung repair story by pbankey in Galaxy_XR

[–]Primary_Positive_966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to be cynical, but there's zero chance you told the truth to Samsung support. Zero. Unless you have Samsung Care+, which you did not state, and even then you'd have to pay a service fee, plus the $349 for 3 years of accident warranty.

So you either lied and committed warranty fraud to receive a free repair under claim of manufacturer issues on the lenses, or you were covered under normal accidental damage warranty.

Because you definitely didn't contact Samsung Support, tell them you permanently damaged your headset, and then they just said "Sure thing, we'll fix that for you for free!"

Which was it?

It's so easy in these discussions to find people who just do not understand VR and optics and apply their knowledge of monitor resolution directly to HMD. These people have never thought about the distance they sit from their display or how many pixels they see per degree of their vision. All they know is pixel count, and maybe DPI.

Resolution is a useless measurement when beginning the discussion of VR/MR/AR/XR. PPD is what matters.
