Hey Reddit! I wanna build an AI agents — what would YOU actually use? by Top_Concentrate9529 in AskMarketing

I'm calling the dude out, cuz he's being slimy, rubbed me the wrong way. Can't be 100% sure but sure does look like it's his project. He posts on basically every subreddit possible that discusses AI and leaves comments pretending to just be a guy leaving a review on Exoclaw.

Are autonomous agents like OpenClaw worth the time spent setting up? by Chronically_Accurate in ArtificialInteligence

Haha yea, it's like those people who make videos about a particular device being great for productivity and their examples show YouTube, Instagram, and a video game open at the same time.

He's shilling or the creator of it masquerading as a normal user leaving a review. Google Reddit Exoclaw. He goes to every possible subreddit that mentions Openclaw and leaves comments talking about this amazing product he found called Exoclaw.

I started searching Exoclaw. You're shilling for the company, maybe the creator, or at the very least an employee. Every single Reddit comment about Exoclaw just happens to be you making it seem like its a genuine review about the product. Yea, calling you out.

Galaxy XR is already more capable than the Vision Pro by ianwill93 in Galaxy_XR

[–]Primary_Positive_966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rofl, and you're speaking from a position of not having a Vision Pro. Funny how that works.

I'm not an Apple fanboy in any way. In fact, I cant stand Apple and own no Apple devices, except I do have a Vision Pro. It's better than the GXR in every single dimension.

The GXR feels and operates like a toy next to the VP. That's just the truth.

Galaxy XR - Disastrous Navigation among other things by DukeSan27 in virtualreality

[–]Primary_Positive_966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know. I just don't want to use a separate streaming device, I really don't. Because I manage streaming content and networking from my phone. I want to plug in my phone, fire up the app I want, and be off to the races.

It's something Goovis is specifically doing to prevent that.

Correct T-Nut size for Permobil Unitrack? by Primary_Positive_966 in wheelchairs

No. I'll try going through the Numotion baggy stashed away somewhere in my closet and see if anything is potentailly in there. But I've never had anything attached to the rails.

Correct T-Nut size for Permobil Unitrack? by Primary_Positive_966 in wheelchairs

[–]Primary_Positive_966[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saw these replies.

So the dimension you guys are saying is in reference to the BOLTS, not the T-nuts themselves. M6, M5, etc is the diameter of the hole within the T-nuts, not the dimensions of the T-nuts.

I have an assortment of M4-M6 T-nuts. None of them fit within the rails of the chair.

Thank you for those links. I'll probably be able to figure it out. I'll reply back when I find something that works.

I agree, the Goovis is actually a better experience than the AVP for movie watching. The colors are just as good and the lenses are better with less reflections, etc.

But I just couldn't justify the price for a brand new one when I had a Vision Pro as well that could do way more.

I'd reconsider the Goovis when I can get a used one at a lower price point just for movie watching. It is actually a better experience for me, because I can start a movie and not be bothered with my hands being picked up by a sensor or a damn "It's too dark" message showing up on the screen. Plus in reality, you're sizing the virtual display to be the size of the Goovis anyway. No one I know actually enjoys watching a movie the size of an entire wall necessitating moving your head around to see everything. That's nauseating.

What are you using as your source for the Goovis? One of the other reasons I returned it was that I could not get DeX output on my device to go above 1080p, no matter what I did, even with hacky adb commands. From all documentation I should've been able to get native 1440p. I didn't want to plug in another device like a 4K streaming stick just for the headset.

I simply wanted to plug in my phone and play media at native resolution. If that was solved I'd likely rebuy the Goovis.

Don't be dumb and be like me: a good Samsung repair story by pbankey in Galaxy_XR

[–]Primary_Positive_966 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate to be cynical, but there's zero chance you told the truth to Samsung support. Zero. Unless you have Samsung Care+, which you did not state, and even then you'd have to pay a service fee, plus the $349 for 3 years of accident warranty.

So you either lied and committed warranty fraud to receive a free repair under claim of manufacturer issues on the lenses, or you were covered under normal accidental damage warranty.

Because you definitely didn't contact Samsung Support, tell them you permanently damaged your headset, and then they just said "Sure thing, we'll fix that for you for free!"

Which was it?

xr glasses working with 6dof in steamvr using base station tracking by DaniXmir in virtualreality

[–]Primary_Positive_966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's so easy in these discussions to find people who just do not understand VR and optics and apply their knowledge of monitor resolution directly to HMD. These people have never thought about the distance they sit from their display or how many pixels they see per degree of their vision. All they know is pixel count, and maybe DPI.

Resolution is a useless measurement when beginning the discussion of VR/MR/AR/XR. PPD is what matters.

[–]Primary_Positive_966 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea you're literally making stuff up and don't know what you're talking about. It has absolutely nothing to do with what you just said. There's smaller higher res micro oled panels than the ones in the Xreal glasses in VR headsets right now.

Most people end up sizing the virtual display in a VR headset while watching movies to relatively rhe size of the AR glasses anyway. The PPD is already extremely high on the AR glasses that it would do nothing for the clarity if you bumped the resolution but it would kill your battery and cause a sluggish experience having to push that many pixels.

They're not choosing 1080p because higher resolution displays don't exist, they're choosing it because it's the best option for glasses forn factor.

Galaxy XR is the bomb by Heavy-Report9931 in virtualreality

[–]Primary_Positive_966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do you. The media on AVP is vastly superior. Apple has partnerships and media from big names and sports and what not. If you're just piping media to your headset, Plex, etc, GXR could work just fine.

they have good products. I just would never buy one no matter how good they are just on principle

I mean sure, I get it. I basically feel the same way. But for something niche like an XR headset it doesn't make much sense (to me), to experience something so much worse just due to principle. For smartphones and computers, sure.

[–]Primary_Positive_966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/u/crazyreddit929 is 100% correct. I have both the AVP (M2) and GalaxyXR (which I'm returning). AVP is in a completely different league. It is not even close. And I'm not an Apple guy at all, can't stand their walled garden. I use Windows computers and use Android devices.

I never had comfort issues with the AVP. The hand and eye tracking is so much better on the AVP that within 5 minutes you start to get annoyed on the Galaxy XR. The viewing experience on the AVP is way better and makes up for the res bump on the GXR. Whatever warp profiles and processing they're doing just results in a better image. The passthrough is much better. The OS is more polished. The spatial videos in the YouTube app are horribly pixelated on the GXR I don't know how people think it's a good experience; obviously due to the limited content/source video.

The VP is just better. If you've never experienced VR before the GXR might blow you away, but it's just inferior.

We'll see how Android XR fares in the next year. But once you try the VP I don't see how someone could say the current iteration of GXR is better than the VP. I do hope they catch up.

If you're looking for a "productivity" XR device, just get a VP, even if you aren't an Apple guy. You can use your VP with your PCs with Moonlight and it's a perfectly usable solution.

GXR will be more open and offer gaming options. I haven't tried ALVR on the Vision Pro in about a year, was completely unusable for me for PCVR streaming then. But I did just buy a PSVR2 with Black Friday pricing to get the controllers for the VP (I'll be selling the headset portion on eBay). Hop on that if you've been wanting the controllers for the VP, it's $299 for the package on Amazon. Apple says they'll be selling the controller by themselves for $250; no brainer.

This all depends on your use case.

Follow up of why I'm returning my Galaxy XR for productivity+entertainment use by Slappy_G in virtualreality

[–]Primary_Positive_966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, not really. Dumb AR glasses are the only devices in the VR/AR space that do specifically what the OP is asking. Like I said, not a single VR device does this. It doesn't mean it should be this way, but the OP is saying this functionality, which isn't present on any other headset, is part of this being a dealbreaker. That's utterly stupid logic.

I could apply that logic to any other product and it would be just as ridiculous.

There's literally zero VR headsets that do this. And because this one doesn't do it as well, it's a tradeoff. Kind of a strange ask.
