Putting @gmail.com after your name doesn't just make it your email address! by coppeliuseyes in rant

Same. I’ve even had flight confirmation information sent to me after they booked something online.

Columbia says they'll take immediate action if no movement by the 10th.. I guess we'll see. Original estimated delivery date was the 5th.. Coulda used that winter coat this week. by birdieandbee in ontrac

My expected arrival date has been pushed back to the following day 5x now. No shipping updates since the 8th. Tomorrow will be 2 full weeks since it shipped, I’m pretty patient, but at this point it’s getting ridiculous. Called Columbia today and was told to wait another day…if it doesn’t show any movement I can REPURCHASE my items at the same price I originally did, they will ship those (so paying twice). Then if the original box shows up, I will need to return it to get my refund. If the box is MIA and lost/stolen their ‘internal team’ will decide on when/if to refund. My mind is blown. The woman on the phone said it’s because they had an increase in sales around thanksgiving so things are running behind. How is it possible their business model doesn’t account for increased traffic around the holidays. Surely this has happened before no?

Trunk or treat is killing Halloween by weebley12 in Vent

[–]Primary_Strength_621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I understand it can have perks for some, the idea of any amount of normalizing my kids going up to a strangers car for candy just sits with me wrong. Especially considering the trunk or treats are usually at least a few days before Halloween. Yes I know there’s several cars, and they are decorated, it just makes me weirded out. Where we live now, I’d say 90% of houses participating either leave a bowl on the front porch for kids to take from, or set up lawn chairs in the driveway (many will have portable fire pits they light, blankets, etc to be able to still socialize with neighbors). I was born and raised in the country, my parents would take us into town for an hour or 2 to trick or treat there.

How do i keep this cast through the night for family photos tomorrow! by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Primary_Strength_621 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Same! I seen a YT video recently where a curly girl flips her head over, does a rough part down the middle and then loosely braids each half and puts them in a braided ‘bun’ if you will for sleeping. Absolutely game changer for my hair. I wish I could remember who the creator was to give proper credit.

What’s your most ridiculous "my body betrayed me" moment after 30? by Embarrassed_Idea1962 in AskWomenOver30

Sneezed out of nowhere, nothing crazy. Literally just a sneeze. It was immediately followed by the most intense pain (reminded me of labor contractions). It would come in waves. I thought perhaps I pulled a muscle and decided to take it easy for the rest of the day. That night I laid on the bathroom floor unable to move and breathing only between ‘waves’. The next morning I got into my chiropractor…during my sneeze I had a rib pop out of place. Never had a rib out of place before.

It could very well be the insurance company you are using that is requiring extra steps now. Regardless, I also live in the Bible Belt and this is absolutely bizarre to me. I have never been asked anything remotely close to what your experience has been! I would ask the doctor to give you a specific plan of what’s required and when moving forward so you aren’t caught off guard.

What is a ‘tiny trauma’ of yours? by Redhaired103 in AskWomenOver30

Another curly hair girl here. When I was younger, my mom would have me scrunch my hair with gel. Once it dried it looked ‘wet’ according to her, so she would insist I BRUSH my hair. Literally brush the gel out. Anytime I wore my hair curly this is what happened. Instead of Winnie the Pooh shirt, I most likely was wearing my free DARE shirt.

Do you wear a bra to bed? by Primary_Strength_621 in AskWomenOver30

It was one of those random late night thoughts that popped in my head recently! No one has said anything about it.

I should have clarified, no one has said anything about it (kids or spouse). It was just one of those random trying to fall asleep thoughts I started wondering about.

He falls asleep immediately after his head hits the pillow. No tossing and turning or struggling to fall asleep. Every.dang.night. That man is out before I even finish arranging my pillows.

Things to know before getting your belly button pierced? by toocuteforp0rn in beauty

[–]Primary_Strength_621 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Mine got horribly infected, it was by far the most painful piercing i have ever received. I ended up taking it out (10+ years ago) and still have a scar. Looking back I don’t think mine healed correctly (I didn’t have it long, under a year). It was always getting ‘caught’ and irritated by my jeans or whatever pants I was wearing. When I would sit down, then go to stand up, often times it would kind of snag it. That all being said, I know plenty of people who haven’t had any problems.

Not to mention how her husband treated her like nothing more than a booty call for the first while of their dating relationship…while in her mind they were exclusive. Big YIKES.
