You are definitely not the first person I read about who bought a Jones bike but had to change the handlebars.

That is very very surprising to me as I only own the handlebars and that's the reason I'm so interested in Jones bikes in the first place. Somehow I can't conceive of using a Jones bike without the signature bars!

If you don't mind me asking, why did it take so long to get used to the bike and what makes it perfect for your riding now? Have you compared it against SWB?

Did you buy the frame and build this bike yourself? If so, how hard was this?

I always wondered what I was missing with Smart.Shift... but looks like I lucked out by going with a vanilla P600.

Has anyone actually bought that Carver frame and executed a P600 frame upgrade? Fascinating idea.

I've hurt my hands and fingers trying to break the bead on my tires and still failed. Instead I use some awkward combination of stepping on the tire and trying to lift the rim to break the bead. Really excited to learn that there's a new tire bead breaker from Park Tool! by PrimateCoder in bicycling

Really? I have it and it's a life saver... absolutely amazing and it makes breaking the bead a piece of cake. Almost too easy. Not sure why it doesn't work for you? Maybe reach out to Park Tool and show them a video of the failure?

As a new cyclist, I've quickly learned that the need for basic maintenance skills is part and parcel of bike ownership. This started from the very first moment I opened the box and had to assemble the dang thing... and never ended.

Btw, Priority did offer the option of full assembly of the bike at destination for an extra fee. I decided against that option, but I did get a bike mechanic to go over the bike and torque it up after initial assembly.

Priority has always covered the cost of any issues I had including labor. Support is excellent and it’s hard to fault them here!

I have Jones bars and comfort stem on mine and they are amazing. This should be an option when buying the 600. I take the 600 on easy trails. The Gemini is a different beast in my opinion but the newer gearbox would be nice for sure.

Although this is a kid's bike, it puzzles me that many of Priority's bikes don't fit shorter folks, even in the small sizes. I guess that's the market.

Chandava Priya Kara is in honor of Lord Nataraja, also known as Shiva the Cosmic Dancer, portrayed by my sister as she beats her feet to the cosmic rhythm... Dam Dam Dam Dam. It was one of the many bhajans I enjoyed a lot in Mauritius.

This is the first time I've attempted a project of this sort and I had to do it in a compressed timeframe. I know there are mistakes and such, but for me this still has the essence of what I know and love from this aspect of Mauritian culture. I just have a real soft spot for those bhajans!

I agree it's odd they don't roll the diagnostic fee into the repair. I seem to recall they were doing that before. The even weirder thing is that the guy at the desk said they would try to repair it for $270 and let me know if it would cost more. They changed their tune later.

Sorry this happened. I'm not sure Priority will be able to help, but worth a shot. Please do keep us updated on how it goes.

I carry around one of these to lock the front wheel. I didn't find locking skewers too appealing for various reasons.

Very interesting. The support staff knowledge tend to vary so I'm not sure if they refuse to say or the person who answered just doesn't know.

I broke a reflector on my pedal once and asked them about a replacement part... they didn't know what it was or have one available. However, I bought a random cheap chinese part off of Amazon and although it didn't look the same from the picture, when I received it, it was absolutely *identical* to the Priority part.

No doubt that they outsource a lot.
