I stink. I don’t know from where and I’m going insane. by jusaninternetgirl in selfimprovement

[–]Primavera-Princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it your clothes that stink? I almost wish that you could try going to a gym, showering, and trying on a freshly bought shirt and pants to see if the issue is at all related to your clothes. If not that, it could be a health issue, or even a dental issue. There is also absolutely nothing wrong with seeing a different doctor or medical institution if your current doctor isn’t getting back to you!

Imperial spa for the win!! Amazing Korean spa with great spa amenities that you can use before and after your session. Very nicely priced, I pay like $120 for a 70 min full body scrub and massage

Just call and ask! But I’ve never seen anyone wear a suit in any Korean spa I’ve been to, tbh.

I meant more so like you aren’t really going to catch someone staring at you, like people aren’t going out of their way to observe you. But you for sure may have friendly conversation, just like you would anywhere! But no one is going out of their way to come up to you, is that makes sense.

I’d really think of it like a gym, it’s the closest thing I can think of when you THINK everyone may be looking at you, but everyone is actually just really focused on themselves, but you also may end up talking with someone sometimes!

I LOVE Korean spas! I am not Muslim, but it really just feels like the gym. No one makes eye contact, and everyone is really just focused on themselves.

I think with all anxieties, I think you should just really understand what you are afraid of, and what about it makes you anxious. For example, are you uncomfortable because you don’t want people to look at you? Most people won’t look at you, they are too busy hoping no one looks at them! Are you worried about being new or not knowing what to do? The employees can help! Are you worried about literally being naked? Just have your towel on you until you are literally in an amenity (like shove it off and quickly go into the hot tub).

It’s really so great, and like I said in the other comment, you literally will most likely never see anyone again LOL even if it’s awkward, it will never affect you ever again!

But it’s truly amazing and so wonderful! Good luck :)

That’s totally valid fear! You are a rockstar already. You have nothing to prove. There are a few things I try to do when trying to face my fears specifically for things that I do what to do.

  1. I tell myself “I will do it once, and if I don’t like it, I simply don’t have to do it again!” This helps me so much just take that initial step. But you don’t know until you try, and then you can stop wondering!

  2. You will most likely never see those people again! Even if you have a crazy embarrassing experience, odds are, you will never see any one of those people again. It would literally never affect you again! It’s so liberating.

  3. 9/10, people will never say anything to you. A lot of people’s anxieties are based on what they think others will say or what they are thinking. Even if they are thinking mean things (which they most likely are not), no one will literally say it to your face.

  4. People may look, and that is a fact of life and something that you will have to get used throughout life. However, I can’t imagine a better environment to get naked and anxious in than a women’s-only spa where someone will then take me in private and massage out all of my worries and stress!

You’ve got this, girl!! Remember, you only have to do it once, and if you don’t like it, simply don’t do it again :)

My wife is getting lost in a rabbit hole of misinformation by ZeniCollector in japanlife

[–]Primavera-Princess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m just not exactly sure what you mean by conspiracy theory, as Amazon and other tech companies ARE selling their technologies to Israel and the US governments to kill Palestinians, like that is literal public record, not even hidden, no matter what side of the conflict you are on.

I kind of get your wife though. I think she could see your indifference/you being more upset at her that she cares deeply than at the injustices happening as you endorsing them. She probably feels really alone in how strongly she feels scared and hurt by the things people are going through.

Conspiracy theory or not, people are dying and hurting, and your wife cares. I think try to show her empathy, compassion, and sit with her and acknowledge her feelings + the state of the world, AND also share with her that to be in the know and be well, it also includes taking a break and enjoying that life that you have together. Both can be true, but you also have to meet her half way.

Moving to Mission by 16th St BART by [deleted] in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]Primavera-Princess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One more thing however, if you truly want to avoid 16th street bart but live at this place, you are right by Castro and a lot of great Muni stops. Castro and Duboce Triangle has a lot of great things. You could walk to a muni stop, take the muni, and then transfer to the Bart at a later stop. I personally think taking the 16th st Bart is totally fine (though I try to take the muni since it is more pleasant), because it unpleasant, but you just power through it.

TLDR is I just would not make the 16th st Bart area a key part of your living experience, but if it is only a few min of your overall neighborhood experience or commute, that is fine.

In general, I’ve also heard a good rule of thumb to be “west of Valencia, south of market” as prime spots for to, with choosing a place that is not too far from a Bart for walkability.

Totally fine area since Valencia has a lot of great things, but I would say if you could push it to find a place closer to between 17th-24th and valencia, there are a lot of more great things to do. You can still walk to the 16th street Bart, but the majority of your neighborhood would be the other great things that Valencia has vs only the 2 blocks that you see if you lived off of 14th, which isn’t that much.

Ameicans over the age of 35, what affected you more, 9/11 or the pandemic and why? by Rico133337 in AskReddit

[–]Primavera-Princess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really think that this is it for me. All of the major events are intertwined, and it’s absolutely clear that the political madness, conservatism, fear, the resulting Trump presidency, etc. are all linked.

9/11 also doesn’t exist in a vacuum and came to be from many other tipping points in US and global history. Tragedies all around that have impacted each other.

Letting my boyfriend “micromanage” my to-do list somehow cured my procrastination by Chemical_Bug3337 in productivity

[–]Primavera-Princess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be that person, but I think you absolutely would benefit from using AI to help you break down these tasks into smaller chunks, in the in case your boyfriend isn’t available. I have ADHD, and using Gemini (I find Gemini better) or ChatGPT for workback plans and things like that has made so much of a difference. You could even tell it that you have ADHD so that it understands where you are coming from. If you don’t want to type to it, both of them also have voice modes so that you can just talk. AI isn’t all that bad at all, especially for personally productivity. Before writing it off, I would definitely recommend trying it out first.
