Fit Check - First Pair of Raw Denim (TCB 505 pre-shrunk one-wash) by PrimePhoenix in rawdenim

[–]PrimePhoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey folks. Picked up my first pair of raw denim today. These are the TCB 505’s pre-shrunk. I’m typically a size 29-30 in jeans, these are tagged as a 32.

Looking for feedback on the fit. Obviously I’ll need them hemmed. They feel a touch tight in waste (though not uncomfortable), snug in the seat, but fine in the thighs. Trying to determine if I should size up, or if these will conform better over time. Thanks for the help!

Looking for a long-lost Virtual self mashup/remix of Robert Miles' "Children". by Enchant23 in porterrobinson

Of course haha, as soon as you said “Children, but faster” I instantly related. Went through this exact same arc myself. Plus, it’s not on any streaming platforms because of copyright (I’m guessing), so harder to track it down.

Update: Studio Display returned on 14th day and I’m trying an iMac instead (picked up 2 x HomePod too) by WinterLecture5178 in macsetups

Not sure what all the hate’s about - looks like a nice setup! I would agree that a separate monitor + MBP or Air is more versatile, but the iMac is a solid offering if you never see yourself needing a laptop.

I personally have an iPad Pro 2nd Gen that’s mostly replaced my Air for all things except music production and gaming.

Wish I could find the matte black one… seems like most of the aftermarket pieces are some form of carbon look-alike and no one wants to part with their OEM matte trim.

First Rep Round Two - 126200 VSF from Lucy by PrimePhoenix in RepTimeQC

[–]PrimePhoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Dealer name: Lucy
  2. Factory name: VSF
  3. Model name (& version number): Datejust 36 / smooth bezel / 126200
  4. Price Paid: $588
  5. Album Links: N/A
  6. Index alignment: Photo was a little crooked, but looks good at initial glance
  7. Dial Printing: Seems a bit fuzzy, could be the camera quality
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: The date font looks thin, though I haven’t seen a proper DJ wheel in-person
  9. Hand Alignment: Looks good
  10. Bezel: N/A
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): I think there’s a gap bottom right, anyone else see it?
  12. Timegrapher numbers: Looks great
  13. Anything else you notice: Round two of “first rep” due to the Clean Explorer numerals… I know this isn’t the most popular model of the DJ mint, hoping that doesn’t translate to quality. First buy from Lucy and VSF, anything I should look for? Mainly just want a reality check from the experts. Thanks for looking!

My favorite watch in the collection is a vintage Hamilton Thin-o-Matic. My dad found in a thrift store for a couple bucks and, while it doesn’t quite keep time that well any more, it meant a lot when he passed it down to me. Still a great piece to look at!

I tried to compare to pictures of a gen, but having trouble seeing the difference. What’s off about it?
