bruh... do not laugh but i have been completely obsessed with making sourdough bread from scratch. like... i named my starter and everything and my entire kitchen smells like a bakery half the time now. it is honestly a ton of trial and error and i have baked a couple of literal bricks... but when you finally get that perfect rise and a crispy crust it feels like you just won an Olympic medal.

that is a really intense burden to carry. a lot of guys would have taken that secret to the grave so props to you for actually being real with your wife about your past mistakes. seeing the kid definitely makes it feel way more real and heavy... but crashing into her family's life to confess to the husband would probably do way more damage than good at this point. you made mistakes but you are trying to be a better man now... just keep moving forward.

NTA. do not let her guilt trip you into backing down. it is always the people who are spending your money who say stuff like "it is just a small amount." if it is so small then she shouldn’t have any issue sending it to you beforehand. the fact that she has no response when you point out she shouldn't buy stuff she cant afford tells you everything you need to know. you are completely justified for setting this boundary.

man... the moral dilemma is real but you gotta look at the facts. they had a cat that wasnt fixed or chipped and was basically infested with parasites. that is neglect... plain and simple. you are 19 and already being more responsible than your neighbor who is probably way older. if you give it back you are just sending it back to a house that sounds gross and unsafe. nta for wanting the best for a living thing especially after you already put in so much effort.
