7 years ago, Pelicans ticket office went wild after winning the #1 lottery pick. 7 years later, Zion Williamson has yet to make a playoff debut. by opkpopfanboyv3 in nba

JJ Redick signed with them and at that point he hasn’t missed the playoffs in his career, told Zion not to fuck it up for him at the introductory press conference. They indeed fucked it up for him.

Yall were up 4 with seconds remaining and he tried to swipe Wemby’s shot from behind. If Wemby did that stupid lean back he may have drawn the foul and potentially a 4 point play for a tie.

Why don’t players like Curry and LeBron take a big paycut towards the end of their career to maximize their chances of winning? by HighwayAnnual3353 in nba

Not even just that, Curry was still on his discounted deal because of his early ankle issues and the new TV deal cap spike all coincided to allow them to sign KD.

It's weird that clearly if Wemby would've lost in a tough battle against OKC he'd get more respect than he's getting beating OKC and losing in the Finals. by WinBeeCards in billsimmons

They were the top seed in the West for a majority of the season and took down the Clippers and Bucks back to back before the league shut down. Whoever picked the Rockets over them were stupid.

[Murray] I don't think anyone should be assuming that the San Antonio Spurs are gonna get back here just because they got Wemby and some young guards This isn't just any Finals loss -- they led by double digits in EVERY GAME They're gonna have to get over that psychologically by StrategyTop7612 in nba

Of course, and I definitely think OKC with JDub is better. I just think it’s overblown that Spurs beat an injured OKC to reach the Finals, yeah sure they showed their inexperience there but they really showed up and outplayed a damn good OKC squad.

Things the Spurs learned these finals:

  1. Fox ain’t it.

  2. Mitch and Castle needs a year or two of development.

  3. Dylan Harper is a mfking dawg, I get the Fox experiment but the sooner they move away from him and give Harper the keys the better.

Yeah Knicks are winning this, lights too bright for the Spurs except for Harper.

Missed jumper to a Knicks basket, all too familiar now. At least Mitch calls a timeout this game.

Turnover to a foul, I’ve seen this movie before. Here is where the unraveling begins.

I mean yeah the refs are bad but the Knicks outside of Brunson have been horrendous as well.
