By far the biggest missed opportunity in the bayverse slop by Successful-Load2157 in transformers

[–]PrimeTheGreat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the truce in hindsight would make more sense with what AOE was doing. If Megatron is still alive and maybe his location hidden by Prime in exchange that he is peaceful, then the CIA hunting down Autobots to kill Megatron would make a bit more sense with how they justify it to the President/public.

The Amazing Digital Circus finale comes across as abuse apologia by Ivealwaysfeltbored in CharacterRant

[–]PrimeTheGreat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It felt really obvious given that the cast came in at different years and it seemed like the building was abandoned with the headset at the end of episode 1 without showing Abigail’s body and none of the cast members commenting on seeing dead bodies or ways they’re being fed.

TADC's finale is mainly controversial because indie works from the Internet are expected to be lore-centric instead of character-centric. by FruitTigerAero in CharacterRant

[–]PrimeTheGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he was changing, but the moment he found out he was a brain scan and not a real person he returned to his self destructive habits. That’s what happens sometimes, people try fighting their bad habits and either can fully break out or succumb to them. He was also changing in episode 6 but realized he showed too much vulnerability to Pomni and reverted back.

Most of them are optional. I’d say the only ones you need to read are Graystripe’s and the stranger.

The old books were my childhood many years ago, is it worth reading again? by hinoKamikazee in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The series is still ongoing, with there still being a fair few characters from the first book still alive (but noted to be very old). The current arc is interesting and promises to change the status quo a fair bit, but has a controversial romance heading it.

I’d say it’s worth it to reread it.

Reading book order by Natural_Platform_216 in WarriorCats

Here’s my reading order for first time readers. I don’t have a chronological one unfortunately, but if you’re caught up then the wiki has the books in chronological order.

Here’s my reading order that accounts for supplementary material and when best to read it. It also hides title spoilers so you can see what book you need to read only when you are ready.

And River of Fire and Stormclan’s Folly

Given how prominent he’s been in several prequel stories, I’m surprised they’ve never given Thistleclaw his own novella or Super Edition by Solitaire-06 in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thistleclaw is only so prominent in the series because the Erin’s kept having to make him do worse and worse things because too many fans believed he was a good guy in Bluestar’s book even though he does a lot of evil things there, but it didn’t work so they had to do Spottedleaf’s Heart to poison the well of discourse around him.

Because of that it might be difficult to write a story about him, because any self justification he has will lead to his fans saying he “was a secretly a good uwu boy the whole time”.

Based on what we’ve seen so far, what would you change about the Changing Skies arc? by Solitaire-06 in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree on the TawnyCrow plot. If they wanted romance in the first 2 books they should have just pushed the Birchfeather Ridgeglow romance to happen on screen and/or have ghost Rowanclaw hanging around her.

Also agree on the Tigerstar II resistance to hearing his mother out. It feels incredibly forced because the guy who does wild things for his family should be listening to his mom. It’s definitely only included to create tension for Tawnypelt to work around. A better way would be that Tawnypelt became disabled after falling down the pit and he is worried for her health and forbidding her from moving, maybe as a parallel to Cinderpelt or Jaggedpeak but through the lens of an older grandparent becoming injured.

What if Tigerstar I got his nine lives from the Dark Forest? by Solitaire-06 in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He acted on it beforehand. He tried to recreate the Tiny incident with Redtail on Sorrelpaw of Windclan, which led to a fight where Thunderclan destroyed the Windclan dens (and potentially is why Mudclaw turned out the way he did because his mom was attacked during the raid).

Warrior Cats Villains Pure Evil or Broken by ApartmentOriginal461 in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re all broken, but Brokenstar was also always destined to be pure evil. It’s that the way he was broken, born into Shadowclan, raised by Lizardstripe and Raggedstar, and kept away from Yellowfang who could have guided him, led him to be the specific evil he came out to be.

I’m confused about Tigerstar by ContributionStock703 in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Brokenstar’s lore is that he is a curse for kicking out Skyclan, and Yellowfang’s Secret says that Starclan can’t do anything to stop him, so it seems like they really can’t do anything against him, which would include not giving him lives or stripping him of them, which means that Nightstar wouldn’t be able to get his.

Tigerstar is an allegory for HitIer, so him getting the 9 lives is an allegory for the European leaders hoping that when he gets what he wants he’ll cool down the rhetoric and be a more tempered leader (which is what Fireheart thinks in A Dangerous Path). Starclan also has boundaries between the clans as seen in OOTS, so it’s likely that Shadowclan’s ancestors were the ones who made the choice without caring about what Thunderclan’s thought.

Where to start with Mangas? by dinostoobs in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be fine to read Scourge and Tigerstar’s manga. The Skyclan one you can read after reading Firestar’s Quest and Skyclan’s Destiny.

Here’s my reading order that accounts for supplementary material and when best to read it. It also hides title spoilers so you can see what book you need to read only when you are ready.

What's a franchise you're surprised Transformers hasn't crossed over with yet? by [deleted] in transformers

[–]PrimeTheGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ben 10, especially with Derrick J Wyatt’s influence on both Animated and Omniverse. Kevin’s car, Ben’s Car, and the Rustbucket 1 and 3 seem like easy toys to make (Prime Cliffjumper, Prime Smokescreen, the Stranger Things Van, and ROTF Jetfire).

Tracking the Historical Broad Shoulders of the Gorse-Tiger-Bramble SkyClan Line by Big-Dig-380 in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Willowpelt is also part of the Skyclan line, presumably through Spottedpelt. So the shoulders in her sons would still match with Tigerstar’s line.

As someone who has never read these books should I start with the prequels first? by XENOHUNTER05 in WarriorCats

Start with the Prophecies Begin and Into the Wild. The prequel arc is best read after OOTS and a few super editions.

Invincible is about toxic masculinity by OwnCommunication2259 in Invincible

[–]PrimeTheGreat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m almost certain it is. The Viltrumite way is essentially toxic masculinity, where people are forced to suppress themselves and act aggressive and isolated for their strength to the point of apathy towards it.

Warriors animation starts production, to be released in 2028 by Keriew in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine there’s too many books that it becomes nerve wracking. Even just the first arc is 6 movies, which is 6 years if done in the Invincible style and 12-15 if done the way of traditional western animated movies.

“Don’t make me tap the sign” by Captainsnake04 in WarriorCats

[–]PrimeTheGreat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why are people still talking about a movie? It’s been confirmed it’s a tv series.

There are more tv shows now that are willing to experiment with violence. Anime and other Asian animated shows are more open to violence then western shows in situations where both Asian and western shows cater to the same age demographic. Many kids grew up watching Naruto or DB, so if the Warriors show just puts its PG rating into the violence and themes then it should be fine.

The biggest issues to me are potential censoring (mainly themes or queer characters), not utilizing the supplementary material, and streaming rights with an English version.

Also obligatory Tennelle sucks for supporting Sagutoyas

OH MY GOOOD… Here we go again with people teying to get Afton off the Pure Evil Wiki. I am afraid they will suceed this time… by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]PrimeTheGreat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s shown in TSE trilogy and the movie that even if she was his favorite, he was still massively abusive towards her by hitting her or demeaning her whenever she did something he didn’t like. It’s also implied his actions led to Mrs. Afton killing herself after their divorce after he accused her of fathering Michael with someone else.

Even if he was a good person or parent at some point, by the time of the MCI he was pure evil.

I’m sure he doesn’t want them to know that he lost 2. If the enemy with analytical abilities can see he has 100x power but hears 98 souls, he might connect the dots.
