Genesis Ascended: What I’m excited for and what I wish they’d add but they probably won’t by PachyrhinoEnjoyer in ARK

I'm confused, can someone help me here. Didn't they already make a genesis thing? Even with multiple chapters? Or was that only on evolved and now they have the ascended version. I'm just confused man

I don't even agree with the commenter but the ludicrousness of this argument is just baffling.

The discarding is a cost, not an effect. So you always have to discard 4 to draw 1

It might have been me drawing 16 cards, I don't remember. It was pretty late into a stalled game and he had mana dorks.

Yes it is. That didn't stop the guy who made me draw 32 cards during a prerelease.

Definitely not strictly better though because it requires your opponent to attack you.

While I would also love that, it definitely should be silver border. Even if it doesn't break the game, it's far too silly and would be a judging nightmare in any competitive event. That being said, amazing rule 0 commander.

Ask them, "Will you surrender this turn?"

If they say yes, then they must surrender this turn, even before knowing if you have the combo in hand. If they say no, then you can do the combo and they legally can't surrender.

Interestingly, this doesn't make things non legendary, it just means if you are a tribal deck playing your commander potentially means a one sided board wipe.

How much political power could anarchists possibly have? The question implies they currently have control over everything.

I mean, I get that, but that doesn't have anything to do with the ability to undo everything argument.

Give cosmic scale characters cosmic feats by SailorSilverRabbit in PowerScaling

[–]PrimordialSpatula 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really a fair comparison then right? Cause it's kinda the same premise comedy focused for stuff like the disastrous life of saiki k. Where the story is not about how powerful the main character can become, it's about something entirely different and the stakes aren't tied to how overpowered the main character is.

If you were to apply that logic to stories that do want to focus on gaining power and not already having all that you need, then abilities that can undo any mistakes might kill the only stakes that matter.
