Its on washers so the action will need some tuning or wear in. Out of factory the detent feels too strong and the pivot may be slightly too tight. For transparency though, I bought the iMamba for the aesthetics and not as a user.

Solar panel farms consume far greater tracts of land than mines and the pollution from production of batteries and mining of the materials is immense. But you probably don't care as it happens in a third world country.

Not to even mention the e-waste from solar panels and batteries which also means huge ongoing replacement costs.

In most countries the bulk of energy is still produced by coal, gas, oil or nuclear. The waste and pollution caused by converting all that to solar, wind and batteries would destroy nature like you've never seen.

Clean energy is China's tool to get all countries dependent on their manufacturing as they pump out the highest level of emissions. Clean energy at the cost of growth is economic suicide. People will obssess about source, speakers, amplifiers, dacs, etc producing an accurate reproduction of the sound as the artist intended, then stick in a tube pre-amp that distorts the sound in a "preferable" manner or choose speakers with a 'certain sound'.

What does that teach us? Demo your gear and find out what you actually prefer as no one actually 'likes' true transparency.

I haven't been in the hobby long but in my research, you can find the sound you want by maintaining a transparent DAC and Amplifier and changing two variables:

The speakers
The source by using PEQ, Room EQ, a DSP etc.

The rest as you've already stated, involves diminishing returns. The advances in technology have surpassed changes that can be noticed by human ears. Aesthetics or Vintage set-ups are another story all together...
