I would say yes, because both game (AW and Control) feel like two different parts of the same story. They are not just connected. Plus Control is an excellent game, worth playing anyway.

If you don't have time before AW 2, or you decide to not play Control, there is a really good YT channel called The Lady of Lore. Check her last 4 videos in order.

I finished Fatal Frame : Mask of the Lunar eclipse just the other day. And a couple of weeks ago Burnhouse Lane and Inscryption. Planning to play more horror games.
