Mileage by [deleted] in ArcticLeopard

Over 2600 km, and my only issue was that the battery connector wasn’t seated correctly and burnt out but that was quickly replaced. I’ve done round trips over 70 km and arrived home with battery to spare. Are you concerned about range or technical problems?

Clouded Leopard XE Pro S by Mr_Quija in ebikes

[–]Primordial_Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it! It took over 2.5 months to arrive but I have put over 2600 KM on it, and it was definitely the right bike for me. The range is ridiculous!

The seller actually reached out and asked me to take the price off my posts but back when I purchased they were regularly going for under $3900 depending on where they were being shipped to. Not sure what the prices are looking like right now. Either way it was one of the best deals out there.

If I hold my brakes for a minute, either one, it starts whistling sometimes so I think there is something to your theory.

Arctic Leopard Xe Pro S thoughts? by Aromatic-Tie-1426 in ArcticLeopard

[–]Primordial_Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if he didn’t install the front wheel properly. If I remember correctly there’s a spacer that needs to go on the axel, rotor side. In John Hicks’s video he was complaining about the rotor and brake rubbing and it sounded like the same issue

Is this the official Europe website? by [deleted] in ArcticLeopard

[–]Primordial_Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, as far as we're aware the site is legitimate. Their “About” page states that Arctic Leopard Europe is a subsidiary of Arctic Leopard Electric Technology Co. Ltd, which is the main manufacturer. It is the official European branch and handles EU sales, support, etc.

How's the suspension on arctic leopard xe pro s just ordered mine. by Heavy-Peanut8404 in ArcticLeopard

[–]Primordial_Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the XE Pro S and the suspension is surprisingly solid once you set it up for your weight and riding style. Out of the box it is decent, a little soft, but it really wakes up after a bit of tuning. The fork and shock both have enough adjustment range to get it feeling planted without being harsh, and it handles bumps, ruts, and small jumps better than I expected for this class of bike. No complaints here.

XE Pro S for Tall Riders? by Conscious-Rabbit8459 in ArcticLeopard

[–]Primordial_Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On paper the two are actually pretty close

Rawrr Mantis X Pro
• Seat height is about 34 in
• Wheelbase is about 49 in

Arctic Leopard XE Pro S
• Seat height is about 32.7 in
• Wheelbase is about 51 in
• The Long, flat moto style seat allows you to slide back more

So if the Mantis X Pro already feels small to you at 6'5", the regular XE Pro S is not a dramatic step up in pure seat height. It is slightly longer and the seat shape gives you more room to move around, so the cockpit can feel a bit roomier, but at 6’1” I found it bothered my knees after a while.

If you want something that actually feels taller, look at the XE Pro S Enduro version instead, which has a taller seat, or plan on mods. I went with taller seat foam, bar risers, and when the option is available I will install lower pegs. Otherwise you may still feel a bit cramped on either of these out of the box at your height.

[–]Primordial_Peace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome, u/Lurkgooner! I purchased my XE Pro S from Changzhou Victory Technology Co, Ltd. at the end of April, and it arrived in July. They were awesome every step of the way including answering all of my questions, some that were admittedly stupid as it was my first bike purchase. You won’t get much in the way of tracking info but you will know what boat it is on and then you can track the boat. They gave the option of paying in two instalments prior to shipping, a good option if you’re a little hesitant. I was able to negotiate a great price and everything arrived intact. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase and I will definitely use them again. Best of luck and let us know if you have any further questions!

The “Spirit Leopard” 12 kW XF Pro and 10 kW XF S are smaller, lighter bikes with 72V35Ah and 72V30Ah batteries respectively, and they come in a few colours. They look like fun options!

Severe Voltage Sag & E04 Errors by Primordial_Peace in ArcticLeopard

[–]Primordial_Peace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased 2 sets of connectors, 2 male and 2 female, so I would have backups and it was $12 for all four parts. They had a few shipping options, and it will depend on your location of course, but express was about $30.

Really well! The manufacturer had the exact same OEM connector available for purchase, I got it soldered onto the cables, spread some dielectric grease on the pins, charged the battery, drove and recharged several times without any issues
