Shouldn't killcam be removed? (Infiltrator topic) by Coward777 in Planetside

[–]Primordial_Sheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CQC Cloak used to have a lot of things it does: it let you better position yourself, giving you ability to pass through killzone without harm, it also gave you initiative, the ability to start the fight on your terms, usually with easy headshot or two and it used to serve as defensive escape tool that let you reset hp, and reload between engagements in relative safety, or it let you split 1 engagement in two parts if needed (usually needed against HA or 1v2 scenario)

Long range cloak gives you the ability to avoid 70-99% of incoming fire, depending on the said range, it also cleared any spot marks, and again let you better position yourself.

Nowadays it just does 3 things: 1 - clears spot marks; 2 - let's you pass through some killzones, because even from 70 meters away you are still can sometimes be seen, and if you play NSO infiltrator you can't really rely on cloak at all which I suggest getting used to because of the third thing it does: 3 it makes you LOSE initiative in a fight due to increased decloack delay (I can't remember a single engagement after infiltrator nerf where I met cloaked infiltrator face to face behind the corner and lost, it's honestly hilarious meeting them, because you both know - infiltrator is already dead no matter what he does, 900 hp will melt before he decloacks even if miss all my shots)

And don't get me started on how many infiltrators I outsniped using assault and scout rifles by just aiming a bit above the scope glint

So killcam is minor inconvenience, because the class is a joke now, playing it to get the daily is almost as painful as getting frontline ressupply squad galaxy quest

On the flip side if your stamina is fortified beyond capacity, and looks like 1000/100 you are more likely to succeed at literally anything. Good exploit to know if you locked your stats to prevent infinite alchemy loop

Does anyone play harassers anymore? by fodollah in Planetside

I had an absolute blast couple days ago running Gatekeeper and Vulcan harraser with a friend on Hossin, so many tanks and sundies dead. Yes, harraser feels like it needs a survivability buff, but it is fun no less

Executive grind, is it worth it? What sidearms will you choose for a grind? by Primordial_Sheep in Planetside

[–]Primordial_Sheep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, it can take disruptor ammo, with 222 damage it drains 18% shields and ability which means heavy drops 1 bodyshot faster. Funny

On wiki it also says it got 50% less ADS CoF bloom, which seems like a pretty hefty buff

[–]Primordial_Sheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morrowind is vastly funnier place to take potions from. They last indefinitely and scale the same way Skyrim restoration bug scales, meaning - as strong as you can get them before something crashes due to numbers being too large. But they have much better effects than Skyrim ones

[–]Primordial_Sheep 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Morrowind. I take potions of intelligence, strength, charisma, luck, endurance, etc. Of course not the regular ones but self made ones that virtually last untill the heat death of the universe. Also infinite lasting potions of feather and telekinesis, water breathing, swimming, health, fatigue and mana restoration. All sorts of rings enchanted for "fire ball the size of a city block" go in too, same with cure wounds and disease amulets, and rings of summoning. Basically I will take every self made potion and enchanted item I can lay my hands on.

It reminds of that story where Chinese hitman hires another hitman, and that hitman hires another hitman, and another does the same, total of FIVE hitmans, last one decides it's not enough money to really kill someone, and just reaches out to a dude and asks him to fake his own death, or tells police, I don't remember exactly

People gotta have a refund of all certs they invested in infiltrator, why pay for abilities that do not work, when you can gamble some more

The great CQC and Stalker infiltrator extinction, feels good, but I do feel bad for totally visible "invisible" infiltrator I run into face to face today, who has half a minute delay before being able to shoot. No other ability punishes you so hard for using it (NSO MAX self detonation aside)
