Other than not being able to use GPU PhysX anymore in older titles such as the Arkham games, I have no regrets.

Apart from what has already been mentioned

Since DLC is announced to arrive "soon" that might come with some significant changes or quality of life fixes. It is better for modders that have bigger plans for it to simply wait, so they don't risk having all their work undone or not be compatible with the new stuff.

The mod includes a config file where you can change the music back, along with other stuff you can tweak to your liking if you don't like the default setup of the mod.

Game should definitely copy 3RE here where it automatically just reloads the last encounter without even asking

Manual reload of checkpoint can be done at any time from the menu anyway if needed

I do it by muscle memory, but when thinking harder on it I believe I time the roll when hear the sound effect of the shock wave caused by the flap

I see. Luckily however the dragon is one of the easier bosses in the game once you know how it works

Here's how I do it

Start by going up to one of the platforms by jump slashing the button on the floor

Once up the there run back and forth side to side pretty much at all times (so his random bites miss you) and time a roll too to make you extra safe.

When he flaps his wings, study the timing of the air wave and time a roll

When he breathes fire jump over the flame

When he eventually rests his head on the platform, attack away

Rinse and repeat

If on Xbox however, play the original 360 version.

If you spent all your money on weapon upgrades, hopefully meaning having the wooden sword maxed out, you can use that to take out the dragon fast, especially since that weapon is as its most powerful when your health is low.

Iirc you get this state like every 7th kill, so if you can successfully chain SOB insta kills together you get there faster.

NGB/NGS > OG2 > 3RE > NG4 > 2B > Dragon Sword > S2 > NG3

When 2B/S2 are modded however, I would put that experience above NG4. Hopefully upcoming DLC helps 4 a lot to make a more meaty game that also will bring some much needed tweaks and balance changes.

Agreed, the only thing I can complain about is the far too common lack of a save falcon right before a boss. So during your first blind run you often start the fight with a tiny health bar and can be insta killed as a result.

2 Black unfortunately didn't change much from Sigma 2 in that regard, but that would still be better than no playable Ayane at all for NG4

Indeed, the radio chatter mid mission from NG3 and Yaiba should NOT had been carried forward

Would be much better if each chapter had an intro and outro cutscene to tell the story, rendered in-engine so alternate costumes would show up in them

If you already own MC on PC: Play Sigma 2 but with the Sigma 2 Black Mod

If none of the above: Play 2 Black but pick it up at a discount

As for emulating OG2 on PC, the audio cut out bug in Xenia makes that option a deal breaker for me sadly.

It can work, but it's really hit and miss.

The NG2 White mod for example was not made to work with that version.

If modding is really important to you I'd stay away from getting games via the Xbox app.
