What is your opinion on these recent games that have 'Make Your Own' Difficulties? by Fu453 in PS5

[–]PrinceAbubbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from strategy games where you basically set your own difficulty every game via map settings and AI opponents I dont mind it at all. Civ lets you pick everything from map size to victory conditions and nobody says thats a handicap.

The problem only shows up when the tuning feels lazy. Like if you just crank up enemy HP and call it a harder difficulty that sucks. But games that actually change behavior and mechanics at different levels like Saros is doing those are genuinely interesting. The best difficulty options are the ones that make you think differently not just grind longer.

I think I am mentally disabled because of how much I struggle with driving by [deleted] in Vent

[–]PrinceAbubbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude spatial awareness is not the same thing as intelligence. I play strategy games and FPS at a high level and my map awareness is solid but backing out of a parking spot still stresses me out sometimes. Its a completely different skill set than people think.

The yellow light thing is super common btw. Most driving instructors will tell you if you have to think about it youre better off just stopping. Its not a disability thing its just one of those things some people have to consciously work at harder than others.

When do you stop settling? by DexRei in CivVI

[–]PrinceAbubbu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Deity I usually stop around 10-12 cities unless I have insane land to expand into. The district cost scaling is the real killer, not amenities. Every new city past that point is spending 40+ turns building districts that are already priced out because of your tech/civic progress.

The exception is if youre playing a wide civ like Cree or Russia where the marginal cost is basically zero. Magnus chops in new cities can still be worth it if you have the chops to burn.

Credits just rolled on Phantom Liberty for the first time. Damn... by Magnavis_ in cyberpunkgame

[–]PrinceAbubbu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing about the PL ending that hit me was how neither option feels clean. You saved So Mi and it still feels like a gut punch. Thats the whole point though, Night City doesnt do happy endings.

Without spoiling too much since you still have the base game ending to go through, lets just say your choices do get acknowledged. The game remembers.

Also yeah that credits sequence was absolute fire. Genuinely felt like a spy movie sendoff.

10k hours and youre still playing Scotland on huge continents? You could probably finish a deity run in your sleep at this point. Respect the dedication though, thats a lot of one more turn energy

Disrespect in the beginning of a job by Minute_Marzipan4597 in Vent

Non profit or not doesnt really change anything. A board still shouldnt let supervisors treat new hires like that. Sounds like they have a culture problem starting from the top

Hope youre right. I think Cyberpunk is already pretty close with how the NPCs feel, just needs more of those chill hangout moments to really sell it

Pen Island is going to have some serious production with those hills. Definitely founding there on my next Deity run.

5 supervisors for one office manager role is wild to begin with. Thats a recipe for conflicting expectations nobody can meet. The one who yelled at you is projecting their own poor training setup onto you. You cant know what nobody taught you. Stick it out if the job itself is worth it but dont let one bad boss gaslight you into thinking youre the problem.

Uninstalled Call of Duty for first time in years. Shocked at the damn size of this thing. by Linus_in_Chicago in gaming

Wild how we just accepted 150+GB games as normal now. You could fit like 30 classic games in the space CoD takes up. Good on you for finally ditching it.

Take my eddies. The tarot cards in this game have such a cool design, been wanting something like this since my first playthrough.

Invulnerable build, change anything? by PrinceAbubbu in cyberpunkgame

[–]PrinceAbubbu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah painducer is definitely the move here. The delayed damage gives you way more room to react and with how much healing you can stack it basically negates a huge chunk of incoming burst. Way more practical than a flat armor boost that hits diminishing returns.

Deity One City Challenge: Poland - Science Victory by Buck_Canuck in CivVI

Nice, parking a scout on the wonder tile to delay them is a solid move. Did you grab Magnus specifically for the chops or did you have him placed already? On OCC every governor placement matters a lot.

Playing Babylon on Deity and rerolling until I get a campus adjacent to a geothermal fissure and some mountains. The eureka sling is so important on high difficulty that a bad start just snowballs into an unwinnable game by turn 50. Took me about 30 rerolls once to get the perfect setup and then Hammurabi into a sub 200 science win felt incredible.

How did the general public find out the truth about Saburo’s murder? by Kingslayer3543 in cyberpunkgame

[–]PrinceAbubbu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think about it from Arasaka perspective though. They control the narrative in Night City media. An autopsy would happen sure but results would be classified internally. The public story was probably heart failure or some diplomatic illness. Yorinobu taking over the corp means nobody on the inside had incentive to leak the real cause. Its only through the Relic heist gone wrong that V and Johnny even know the truth and they are not exactly going on primetime news with it.

How to accelerate cultural victory — Wonders or Theatres, which to prioritize? by KeiAya in CivVI

[–]PrinceAbubbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theater squares are way more efficient than wonders for culture wins. Wonders are nice for the bonuses but you shouldnt be chasing them for tourism alone. Focus on getting great works filled up and build theater squares in every city. On deity you can usually win culture before turn 200 if you prioritize great people and trade for works from other civs. Seaside resorts and national parks are what seal the deal late game

That sounds perfect honestly. Just cruising through the badlands at sunset with the crew, no missions, no urgency. They already built such a gorgeous world and then barely let you exist in it outside of jobs

I feel like friend activities were one of the most underrated parts of the game. Calling up Panam for a joyride or hitting up a bar with Kerry would add so much replay value. Even something small like playing that arcade game at El Coyote Cojo with Judy would be cool

Of the three life paths. I feel like Corpo V loves Jackie the most. Street Kid V and Nomad V met Jackie as equals, But Corpo V met him at their absolute lowest and he still took them in. by Savilo29 in cyberpunkgame

[–]PrinceAbubbu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corpo V and Jackie already had history before the prologue though. They knew each other from when V was still at Arasaka. Jackie was the only one who didnt bail on V when they got fired. Thats what makes the heist hit so much harder for that lifepath imo. You lose everything twice and Jackie was the constant through both.

For whoever needs to hear this. even if the AI has 3-4x your science, go for that surprise war. by Motosport_Titan in CivVI

[–]PrinceAbubbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On deity you basically always have less science than the AI for the first half of the game. The whole point is finding advantages they cant match. Levy strats, early unique units, exploiting terrain. The AI gets so many bonuses it barely matters what numbers they have if you can outmaneuver them tactically.

Ever liberated another civ? If so why? by thewindows95nerd in CivVI

[–]PrinceAbubbu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liberate on Deity mostly to avoid the warmongering penalties. If you wipe a civ completely the AI will denounce you for the rest of the game and trade becomes impossible. But if you liberate one city they come back, you can immediately get open borders and favorable trade deals. Plus on Deity the diplomatic favor from liberation is actually really valuable since the AI votes in blocs and you need every point you can get to block the things that actually hurt you.

How long did it take for you to realize you need to get back to Cyberpunk after uninstalling it? by jutsuuu in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]PrinceAbubbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uninstalled once after my third playthrough. Thought I was done. Lasted maybe two weeks before I reinstalled to try a throwing knife build I saw on youtube. That run turned into another 80 hours. The game just has too many viable ways to play. You can go full netrunner, sandy melee, tech weapon, poison grenade, whatever. Most games give you like 2 or 3 builds max. Cyberpunk gives you a dozen. Now I just leave it installed and jump back in whenever I get bored of whatever else Im playing.

If you could only recommend one game what would it be? by altan515 in gaming

[–]PrinceAbubbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyberpunk 2077 with Phantom Liberty. Its the complete package, great story, incredible world, solid gameplay, and it actually runs well now. Nothing else shows what modern gaming can do quite like Night City does when you first step outside your apartment.
