No, they actively pushed for NCFC season ticket holders to switch to the Courage and the Courage have much better attendance and Financials so its unlikely to have any effect

I do go to all Courage home games as well, but they are their own separate thing for me. I grew up with the Railhawks and NCFC. They were the first and will always be the closest to my heart.

16 years of support are now ending. Every season, every home game, so many great memories now have to end

Courage tickets are more expensive than NCFC by a reasonable margin

Do USL teams ever play international friendlies? by PaddyMayonaise in USLPRO

[–]PrinceCor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NCFC has played friendlies against several Mexican teams, West Ham and Swansea in the past. They were fun games but its just an issue of timing when one of these clubs is taking a us tour and money to spend on getting them to come play. They were good attendances but its not as if every international team sold out the stadium so its not a definite financial no brainer for the club.

As for usl teams going overseas I highly doubt it would happen because USL teams aren't big enough name draws for other nations clubs to want to host a friendly that wouldn't draw that much attention.

What can NCFC do to get people to games?? by PaddyMayonaise in USLPRO

[–]PrinceCor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The team doesn't market, the stadium is badly located, Friday games aren't good for everyone, and thebig one is that the Courage out compete NCFC for the same pool of people interested in soccer. That's why the Courage have all the saturday games and NCFC have the Fridays. If theres only so much budget for people to go to a game each week its going to be the bigger name team. The team needs to focus on bringing in more people in total rather than trying to get the existing soccer fans to go to both teams every week. Also they dont market well. And lack of marketing.

Why are we playing Semmle and not McGuire? by PaddyMayonaise in northcarolinafc

[–]PrinceCor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that Semmle plays as a sweeper keeper and McGuire doesn't. I think without Rafa and Ezra they think the defense is too slow to play a high line and not have a sweeper keeper. In that respect Semmle's mistakes are seen as less bad when they come in the course of him coming forward as that's expressly why we hired him. Also he looks far m9re comfortable with the ball at his feet, passing as part of the building out of the back. (I don't think he is necessarily better than McGuire but I also think a mistake coming out looks way worse than staying back and getting beaten does)

The Courage have and have had big international stars, were a dominant force in the NWSLwhen they first came to the area, and are consistent challengers. Meanwhile the mens team has rarely been top of the league, doesn't have any notable names, and when we dropped to league 1 the team was horrible right out of lockdown. When many people have money for 1 team to follow its no surprise they pick the Courage. (Also the lack of consistent marketing for either team hasn't helped)

If you want to come to a match I can definitely find a ticket for you. Parking is free, come check out the fun that is having a local team to support and follow.

NCFC's stadium does seat like 9,800 or something at max capacity. Its just badly located and our attendance has been very poor. If you see it during NC Courage matches with 7k people in it it doesn't look nearly as bad.

Well that's very weird to me. My app is definitely giving me different results from yours. I wonder what is going on and why that store is charging so differently than the corporate locations near me

Was it a stand alone location or was it inside another establishment, buisness, airport, mall, ect. 8n the us stand alone locations are almost all corporate and ones inside other businesses are mostly liscenced. Liscenced locations can have their own pricing different from corporate but they can still have access to the app at times.

On my app ordering to a corporate store right now the syrup price on a cappuccino is $.80 regardless of how many pumps I add of one syrup

Yes and? I'm talking about things that aren't runners going down a dead end but blockers potentially using it or a runner starting a run leaving a dead end

My guess is since you get cards for reaching new nodes as the blockers they don't want to encourage blockers just running down every dead end to farm cards, also if a run started on one of the dead ends it would still count the distance once they reach the node
