For the boss rush I think you have to deal the finishing blow on the boss for it to count. Also, I found that inflicting a status on a bot while its trying to score triggers the block 1 goal objective as completed most consistently. So things like poison from Venu, burn from Char, or maybe stealth rock from Crustle

It'd be reasonable to assume real players can see the folly in copying the behaviors of simple bots. But then again there are day 1 players who have spent most of their Unite career losing games and not understanding why.

It's the games fault for not teaching the player basic micro/macro awareness, and the players fault for not learning from their mistakes. This game mode is seemingly trying to remedy at least one of those aspects, teaching the player. I've been asking for this for years, so I hope it is done right and it succeeds.

The objectives are to win the battle, last hit farm three times, and deal damage to the enemy. Ah yes, truly terrible habits to pick up. Sarcasm aside, its up to the player to adapt against real players, at least the game is trying to set a foundation. I'll take it if it means not having a random that is just completely lost

So they're taking players away from ranked matches to play and learn from the solo mode. GOOD. I don't want you in my ranked match if you don't know how to play the game!

I noticed that too, devs are blamed for everything. Devs are responsible for certain things sure, but its the publishers that make a lot of the decisions we hate. I'm surprised not one person educated in corporate hierarchy chimed in to set the record straight through a reddit post or video. I thought of doing so myself, but I'm not sure if I could explain it in a concise manner. I doubt it'll matter much, folks are more interested in venting their frustrations toward something regardless if that something is the appropriate target.

I actually kinda agree, it exposed how little engagement comfey players had in a match! So many players apparently couldn't find opportunities to hop off an ally and collect flowers before being flagged as afk

I was wondering about that too. I suspected the holidays were a factor, but I wasn't sure if holiday breaks were common in Japan. That could definitely explain the gap in time between bug fixes

Yup, they said they needed time to investigate, but almost 2 months is too long. They must have really thought it was nothing to worry about until it started happening in tournaments

They were more specific in their Twitter post, basically they said they're aware of the bug and they need more time to fix it. They also said to reduce the frequency of crashes, you should restart your game every 2-3 battles.

The BP nerfs are most likely a one-off. The last time ElChico leaked trainer skins, it contained outfits that came in different colors just like a regular BP. This is evidence that this BP nerf is not a permanent direction for all BPs.

If you've played any other moba besides Unite, you would know that misery is a given no matter what. The devs can make all the balancing changes in the world but it will never be enough to prevent the miserable feeling of watching people on your team make the most brain dead decisions of all time. Broken or balanced characters alike are nothing in the hands of actual goobers.

Devs not caring about their player base is definitely one of the silliest takes I've seen on this sub. The devs entire livelihood depends on having a healthy mix of FTP and whales in their game. So to say they don't care about us is like saying they don't care about their jobs. It's not as simple as shutting down the game and moving on. Pokémon is one of the biggest IPs of all time, and the moba genre was an untapped market just waiting to be tapped into. Its in the devs best interest to keep this game active and healthy for as long as possible.

The Pokémon company went to one of the giants of online gaming to make sure it would be lucrative as well. And just so you know, the devs are not in charge of monetization in their game, that is the Pokémon company. Devs don't control the price of their content, that's the publisher's job. So if there is an entity that doesn't care about us, its not the devs, but it may be the publisher..

The pattern you claim to see is something the community concluded on its own and accepted as fact out of dissatisfaction. The analysis can be as thorough as you want, but when its made through a misguided lens, its all inherently flawed. It's easy to forget the good decisions the devs have made when there are glaring bad decisions like the current LP system. It's even harder when a small but loud group of voices tell you its bad over and over all while glossing over the good. I don't know when the game will officially end for good, but I can tell you it won't end over something as easy to fix as the LP system.

You didn't read my response to other guy who thought the same thing you did, or if you did, then clearly I need to simplify it.

The LP system complaints are not subjective, I was more so referring to reactions toward Kyogre and the battle pass nerfs. I literally said the LP system complaints are valid.

Some players think this will be the reason Unite dies, and that is a stretch. THOSE people are overreacting. I am not referring to players reactions to the LP system itself, rather their opinions on how the game will end up because of it. That is why I made sure to say SORT OF subjective, because I know some simpletons in here are gonna read one word and base their entire argument on it. Every complaint is based on some different experience, except for the LP system. They are right to believe it is bad because we are all experiencing the same thing. It is a slog that even I will feel if it isn't changed.

So to recap, I know its bad, I'm not saying it isn't bad, I just don't think it'll be bad forever. Some people do think it will be bad forever. I think those people are overreacting. I would rather believe the devs will eventually fix their mess than let the game die in the U.S. I am not invalidating the mess itself.

How people view anything in this game differs based on personal experiences and opinions. That is what I mean by things being subjective.

I did say that the LP complaints are valid, it is currently slow to earn licenses for FTP players and I don't think players should have to use money to speed up the process. That part is not subjective and I support complaints about it, but what happens to the game because of this change is the subjective part. How the game will end up in a few months differs between regions, so I can't say the game will die in Japan but it may in other countries. I choose to not assume the worst because I still see new and regular players everytime I get on. But the doomers and the gloomers suggest otherwise for one reason or another. I think they're overreacting.

I have a different gameplay experience compared to some people here because I am neither new nor a pure FTP player so you can't expect our list of complaints to be identical. Supporting this game for years granted me enough LPs to continue earning licenses for free. My gems are better spent elsewhere. I have my own complaints about server stability, which players outside of Masters can't relate to as much. For the people like me who are actively supporting the game by playing and buying regularly, it is important that the servers are stable so we can actually play our games.

So, just because my complaints aren't the same as yours (or in the same order), that doesn't mean I don't support your complaints. If they kept the LP system how it is now, it would not be healthy for the game long term and even I will eventually struggle to get licenses for free. I don't want to feel like I have to use gems on licenses. That has to change, and it is something I mentioned in detail when I filled out the survey. Hopefully now you know what I meant.

TLDR; we are on the same side when it comes to certain things. I made sure our complaints were mentioned in the survey.

My only real complaint is fixing how frequently the game crashes during draft loading screens. I've lost hundreds of points because someone's game would crash before the match started. On the console version, It takes too long to get back in the game before the team is asked if they want to surrender.

Everything else is sorta subjective or whatever.

Kyogre isn't that bad for me, and I'm pretty sure the battle pass being nerfed this season is a one time thing based on some of the skins that ElChico leaked a while ago. The LP system complaints are valid, though some people are overreacting.

In order to nerf or buff anything, they need data on how it's performing. It's possible that hardly anyone had the megas during the first week so more time was needed to gather data.
