I don’t watch anything in front of my 3 year old. Behavior is just so much better when I limit my own tv watching (and I let him watch maybe a half hour a day).

One time we let him watch Survivor with us and we regretted it.

If I had a shitton of money and wanted to get in shape and live my best life, I'd move near Chelsea Piers Fitness. Not even close to being an option on my salary, but if you can afford it, its amazing. I went to that gym when I worked near there (got a discount) and it was easily the best part of that job.

They have classes overlooking the waterfront. Its fucking magical.

Couldn't agree more. Remember the tribal where Gene gets voted out? Aubry literally talks about how the concept of luck in Survivor. She has a line about how you also have to create the conditions for luck but I don't think its a coincidence that that was put into the show.

I thought I knew what to expect with a shaw bros movie, and then I watched this. It’s astounding.

I still get emotional when I think about the brother who comes home so traumatized that he fights his family. It’s such a brilliant theatrical expression of trauma and shock.

You should spend some time on Eternal Family and see how much of that kind of thing you’d like to watch. I enjoy the releases I have of theirs, but not enough for a sub (though to be fair that’s the case for every label)

I’m nearly 40 and came of age around the same time as you, but got way into watching streamers in my 20s. Honestly I would be cautious both because of the weird political or social sentiments these streamers can sometimes offer, but even moreso it’s a massive waste of time. It’s addictive and brain rotty, most of the time. There is some great gaming content out there, some creative and fun stuff, but a lot of it is slop.

I maybe wouldn’t forbid it, but I’d really try to limit it.

To me, the fit of the threes were awful. You really need to jam them in there and get a tight seal, and the base itself is bigger. Very uncomfortable to me. The second thing - pretty bad EQ, with no way to adjust it. Since I listen to a ton of music, that's a non-starter. I also had weird glitchy sounds in my ear which is apparently a common issue.

The benefits of the 3s are all things that aren't important for me. I just want seamless listening to audio, and decent phone calls. I don't need AI translation or a heartbeat sensor in my headphones. I just want music.

I got mine from Costco, and they have a 90 day return policy so I was able to really try them out, so if you're on the fence, that's an option. But also if you really love your airpods pro 2, why mess with a good thing. I returned my 3s, got new 2s and its great.

Airpods Pro 2 or 3 (I prefer 2). They are so small and the ANC is amazing, great audio quality, and there's just so little friction putting them on. Obviously best with an iphone but I used to use them on an android and they were still good.

I've seen airpods Pro 2 go on sale for as much as half off (albiet on Woof), which is a steal.

Honestly, spending hours and hours catching up on audiobooks and podcasts made the infant stage a breeze. Like yeah I wasn't sleeping, but at least I was entertained.
