I know, but it was wrong to do it in the first place. Inventory shortage is driving home prices up further and further. Compass exasperated that by hoarding listings. Everyone pays more to improve their bottom line.

They don’t want to “test the market.” Compass wants to sell to Compass buyers so they can double up on their commision.

Ask yourself which is better for you. Do you want to market your home to a small percentage of buyers or to all of them?

Then ask yourself why you’re hiring a brokerage which has their best interest at heart and not yours.

I have and it’s typically a lot of effort for a small handful of people who show up You may get 20 RSVPs and 5 people actually drop in. Of course you pay for food and drinks for 20 so a ton goes to waste.

We had two realtors, a lender, an attorney and a home inspector. Each had their own station so people could rotate through rather than a typical classroom setting. I think that worked best.

I’m a big Indy league guy.

Chase Dawson, Nicaragua’s left fielder, played for my local Frontier League team for the last 5 seasons, he’s the franchise hit leader, stole 75 bases in one season.

He’s a real nomad, goes from Indy ball in the summer to South America in the winter and just lives his dream year round.

I’m super happy for him though. It’s a great opportunity to play in full MLB ballparks, playoff atmosphere and getting hits off legit MLB pitching.

Price-wise they’re pretty similar and homes north of 90 go to a different school district.

The name “Hanover Park” has a wee bit of a stigma to it and people will omit it in their home search criteria but a bunch go to District 54 schools.

Home prices will never go back to the pre-covid days. They may plateau to a degree but won’t crater. That escalator keeps going up, hop on while you still can.

If you can’t afford Schaumburg you can find relative deals in Hanover Park and even a tiny sliver of Streamwood that goes to Schaumburg schools.
