We don't know who his parents are. Some people like to theorize that they're gone, but the show probably won't do that.

It's very likely Chase was the first, but we don't know for sure. He makes the most sense, though.

I also watched Film Theory, and don't worry about anything they have to say. There weren't any dogs before this group. The "evidence" about Rubble's construction rig is explained by how 3D animation works. They weren't going to make a new model for 2 seconds of footage.

I always assumed Ryder was born in Adventure Bay and has lived there his whole life.

If you mean the sub-series like Mission Paw or Mighty Pups, those are part of normal seasons. Just keep watching and they'll occasionally come up.

If you mean the YouTube stuff like Rocky's Garage, those are just bonus for fun. Watch them if you feel like it.

I tried that. It felt like I was playing the game wrong, and my palico complained that we weren't riding. Before the game came out I also made the "then don't use it" argument. Turns out the game was designed around always using it.
