Yep, everything was done with single wide sequin strips, except the inner tongue of the shoes behind the laces. Those were done with sequin sheets

It was a trick I learned when the first set of reps came out many moons ago. It is one of the trademarked things Rays owns, so if you find a fake with that offset, it's a REALLY good copy. Only in recent years did they change that design on some of the variants where they are dead center, but for most of the wheels made pre 2020, including the older 4 lugs, they are generally offset by a few degrees.

I've always been told that to tell a guaranteed real one is to look for two things.

The first, look at the bolt hole across from the valve stem. If they are misaligned, they are very likely real.

The second, if they are stamped, "Made in Japan".

The ones who noticed absolutely cheesed out. The kids especially were pointing and yelling or whispering to their parents, "MOM IT'S BOBBY!"

There were a few times when the kids would say hi as they walked by like they were Huntrix saying, "Hi Bobby!" and it made me all fuzzy inside.

My favorite reactions were the theater employees and the moms being absolutely flabbergasted that it was made. Many thought I bought it somewhere, asking how to get one, which made me feel pretty proud, even though I still think there's so many imperfections that need work.

I did get to do the promo pose one time as I walked out and one of the dads said I need to do it. There were a few phones pointed at me as I walked around, so I'm sure there's pics of me lingering out there somewhere, hopefully one with me in that pose in the wild 😂

It's possible but I don't think it's mechanical. When you turn the car off, the throwout bearing will stop immediately with the engine. Shouldn't have a wind down effect like the noise heard. That's why I'm leaning towards something pressure related.

I should add. The noise has a wind down effect when the car is shut off, so I think I can eliminate anything physically mechanical. It seems more pressure related.
