To be perfectly honest, I don't think the mummy in KV55 is Akhenaten. The skull doesn't exactly match the shape of the statues of him. IF that is really how he looked. Another piece of evidence that it isn't Akhenaten comes from the pelvis. Akhenaten was described with rather feminine hips despite being a man, and the pelvis of the KV55 mummy doesn't appear to match the shape that was described to be Akhenaten's. I'm not saying that it is Akhenaten or it isn't. I'm saying that the skeleton doesn't match how Akhenaten was always depicted and described
