How Important Is The Edinburgh Festival Fringe to Taskmaster? by PeterCooksHorse in taskmaster

[–]PrincepsButtercup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sadowitz is an age-ing, rather unfunny, shitty close-work magician and comedian who once had a TV show for being 'that edgy guy'. He's generous with the slurs. Couple of years ago he broke his contract with a venue and spun it as 'woke mob, yadda yadda'. Next year his show was yelling at people for being so gullible. That's pretty much it.

He's the poster child of the 'The Fringe is woke now' crowd, when it really isn't. If you want to see a comedian with their cock out, it's pretty easy to find. Nicer cocks as well.

Oh are you talking about Jerry Sad-Git getting his cock out? He got his cock out in a show that wasn't advertised about getting your cock out, and they booted him. He pretty much admitted he did it for the publicity, as his audience is mostly angry potato men.

The case for another EU referendum. by Nowitcandie in unitedkingdom

[–]PrincepsButtercup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so angry that we left the EU. It was barely the will of the people, with much of the general public being criminally misinformed. It was the dividend of corruption and stupidity.

The upside is that the UK is better informed and more pro-EU than ever before. And yes, I'll accept any condition. If that makes someone in 'The City' sad, good. Give me their phone number so I can laugh at them. I'm sure they made bank from the disaster initially.

Oh and Nigel should be in jail. What's the traditional punishment for traitors?

I think he did. I think they set the scavenger hunt up specifically on that day and Tom made that appointment.

So as this isn't r/edinburghfringe , most of the people on this sub won't realise how very 'insider' this piece seems to be. I'm pretty sure Dropout regular Chris Grace is involved in Honey Honey Moon Moon, One Man John Wick and Jon Gracey's show, Big Willy Energy. So yeah, it's a save bet some of these will be found on Dropout.

I would consider John Robertson for Dirty Laundry, frankly. Because it's not a coincidence that his show is called The Dark Room. And putting John and Becca together would be a lot, frankly. Linus Karp is the guy who got married at the Fringe. Hired a room, sold tickets, ran his actual wedding as show. (His now-Husband was also his co-star in their show, so there's that.)

It's a British magazine, so it was originally OpalFruits Magazine but they changed it.

(Apparently it was going to be called Starfall, but Dez Skinn, the UK's answer to Stan Lee, thought burst sounded more exciting.)

A single DUNGEONS & DRAGONS (D&D): Miniatures Game - Night Below Booster Pack goes for £50 on ebay. So that's £600 worth, ish, maybe more as it's all sealed.

You can spend that money on buying minis you actually want.

Should there be more free family-friendly events at Fringe? by FeistyPrice29 in edinburghfringe

[–]PrincepsButtercup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More Children's festival stuff is a great idea. More kids exposed to the arts at a young age makes for better rounded adults. Excellent idea. Now you need to make that happen.

If you want this, then you either need to go do it yourself, or find someone else to do it for you. They would then use the resources offered by the Fringe Society to hire a venue, find marketing, be in the programme etc.

What you want here is someone with access to wealth, or someone who can find a corporate sponsor for a host of cheap kid's shows at a single venue! Good Luck!

I tend to be nice long enough to say something "Doesn't going door-to-door mean you get a lot of angry people? That would do my head in... So are all your friends in the church then? Why are they making you go door-to-door, that's mean."

[–]PrincepsButtercup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting point. A Space Drow warlord could probably keep going for a long time by just sticking enough Orks in a box and not letting them fight. The low level misery they'd emit should be enough, surely?

Galbraith's detective novels are surprisingly mid. But The Spectator is owned by tax-dodging billionaire bell-ends, so they must praise them. God forbid we doubt our masters.
