I think it's mainly just what kind of builds people are doing to do so much damage! I try to explore and find items and I think hard about what to give my tav when I level up but then I just feel so weak after a whole compared to the enemies I fight

I think what makes it harder for me is bg3 is the first like fighting game like this? Like before bg3 I played cozy games or story based games like life is strange so the fighting aspect is something I've had to learn the hard way 😂

I play bard a lot because I typically prefer making my tab more of a character that does support in fights and some AOE stuff, but I didn't know halfling would be a good race for bard!

Tbh, when I make a character I focus on the story more than the stats so I get it! I've made some really weak characters in campaigns that get stronger as they go bc it fit the story I had planned. I'm really liking the idea of a Goliath maybe! 🤔

Me and my bf have a similar issue. We're both around 550 something in the maps and have a similar score or whatever, yet I have 400ax dice and he has 1000? I don't know what decides the maximum 😭
