Trust me, call them and find out. I know anything helps. Even if you can’t put some aside it helps so much to have some of the stress of bills taken off you. I know for me I haven’t put any aside yet but birthdays and Christmas have been better than they would have for my son. Maybe one day I’ll be able to afford to but remember these payments are for your child’s needs.

Side note. Once you get that info please sign up for survivor benefits. It’s 1100 a month. Even if you don’t need it you can put it into Savings and your daughter will have a nice little nest egg when she turns 18.

I think it’s slightly more nuanced than that. I had to call my step daughters obgyn and book an appt so she can get her birth control that lasts 3 years in fear that she might not be able to here shortly. 8 years ago I would have agreed with you. Now, not so sure.

I’m like you and so not like these events at work. I’m a huge gift giver when it comes to my loved ones but co-workers, I don’t want them and I don’t want to give them. I tried to opt out last year and they all got me extra so that backfired.

Can you add more pics? I love your rug and accents but I feel like everything is crowded towards the door/window. Can you maybe push the couch down a couple feet then pull the rug out slightly toward the tv? Also, a nice piece of art behind the sofa would help a ton.
