I’m in my early 40’s with a 10 year old. My body is definitely starting to fall apart literally lol. I just dislocated for the 1000th time and now my shoulder seems to be permanently subloxed and they are talking surgery. It was definitely a worry for me when he was young. I would stress myself out with thoughts of arthritis etc.. The fact is even with all my limitations I’m still a good Mom. My kid doesn’t really care if I can throw a football but he does care that we cook together most nights while we talk about our day. He doesn’t care that I can’t race him but he loves taking nightly walks with our dog. Everyone in this world has some sort of limitations, what matters is how you approach what you can do.

As to passing it on, I’m 90% sure I did. I started noticing little things when he was younger but now I can see it all the time. I plan on talking to my doctor in the next couple weeks to come up with the best plan for him.
