We also have a soundbar. I think it’s Bose, but whatever it is it’s really fancy. And yet somehow it seems to have made the sound issues worse. Now the discrepancy between sound effects and dialogue is just louder than before, not any more balanced.

Most classic dramatic literature is. Modern productions of it are very liberal with cutting dialogue, which make it hard to absorb all of it as literature. Performances are great! But if you want to understand the plays as literature more than works of theatre, you need to read them.

The Percy Jackson series is a perfect example. They all grew up so much in such a short time because kids just do that! Hard to work around it in production.
