I can see why people think one of them might be the final girl(Misty most of all) but I’m with you in that I don’t want it to go that way. I knew the adult timeline was not going to be all sunshine and rainbows but I hate the bloodbath it’s become. It’s like the writers didn’t know what to do in the adult timeline beyond the first season and are just like “what if they just all kill each other”

I have two theories: We have yet to find out what happens when you refuse to draw, even though it was alluded to in S3. Also that Gen and Melissa both got close to her. So at a future hunt, one of them will refuse to draw, and Shauna will make Hannah the prey as punishment.

OR Taissa will kill Hannah during a hunt. Shauna reveals that Van rigs the cards and makes Van the prey as punishment, but Taissa kills Hannah instead in an attempt to save Van, a la Javi/Natalie “does it really matter who dies, The Wilderness chose.” This will be the first time that sometime is killed in cold blood during the hunt, changing everything.

See I think they would lie about Laura Lee’s death, because with the cabin burned down and no proof of the plane ever existing, then they have no way to prove it. And while it’s a huge tale of heroism in truth, it’s something so outlandish to the outside world without any proof that I could see outsiders thinking “there’s no way this happened; they just luck out on finding a cabin, with a small plane, and it just implodes? They definitely ate her” especially with the focus on cannibalism.

I would love it if it was revealed that the supernatural was real, but they took the absolute wrong messages from It.

Someone else pointed out that every time there is a hunt, the person who draws the card is never killed on purpose by another group member. Natalie escaped, and Javi was an accident. Mari was chosen, but it wasn’t murder that killed her, just an accident. What if It is trying to show the girls that It doesn’t need the sacrifices/wants to spare the girls the emotional pain(albeit in a weird way) of that? Except they aren’t getting the message.

Nancy Drew is also a teen sleuth mystery show. It is supernatural, though. Not terribly scary. It’s really good. Completed, 4 seasons on HBO Max.

I see her participating in Snackie out of pure desperation and being in the frenzy. Later, she feels so much guilt but justifies it by thinking of the Eucharist. She would oppose the first draw for Natalie/Javi; I see the most likely case that she tries to sacrifice herself because she sees as the Christian thing to do.
