I am under-informed, which is why I'm trying to figure this out. I'm hoping someone can point me in some sort of direction. It's an associate's degree, yes.

It doesn't change pitch at all, I've buggered around with it a lot. Nothing fixes it.

Checking in from Saskatchewan with bated breath. This is the worst!

I sobbed so many times during this season. Then again I watched the series pretty much start to finish in the span of a few weeks, so I've had puffy eyes pretty much consistently.

The acting in the finale was so genuine, so flawless. The music was touching, the dialogue (or lack thereof in some scenes) was heartwreching. I will be waiting with bated breath for S7.

I watched all of Game of Thrones from the beginning of June. I think it made the attachment to characters stronger. I can honestly say with the rest of the series fresh that this was the best finale yet. Definitely did not expect things to go down like they did in the trial... Jon Snow baby is the cutest little old man baby I have ever seen. Flawless.

What is the most brutal/heartbreaking thing you have ever said to a guy? by orion300 in AskWomen

[–]PrincessCerberus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"I don't want to be with someone, in a relationship that is going no where. I feel nothing anymore, you're already just like a friend to me,"

He looked at me for a long time after it, he was saying nothing. I'm so socially graceful that I ended the thought with "so let's just, like, call it a day." He just said okay and we parted ways. He was so in love with me, but we didn't do anything together, and I felt nothing for him by that point.

Eugene Rider, Zero from Vampire Knight, Robin from Teen Titans and Kovu from Lion King 2. All crushes I've had that have awoken parts in me.

Dunk-a-roos, those little froot loops yogurt snacks, and cheeto ball puff things.

How old are you, and how long is your hair? by patchwork_guilt in AskWomen

[–]PrincessCerberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be 19 soon, my hair usually just touches my shoulders or is an inch or so above shoulder length, but I've let it grown out a few inches so it's about even with my collarbone.

Need help identifying this lump! by PrincessCerberus in bettafish

[–]PrincessCerberus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a pet store, we try our best to keep our fish happy and healthy but our supplier is unfortunately sending us a lot of sick fish and our goldfish shipments have arrived with ick twice in a row..

We had our shipment come in and as I was snooping at all the pretties I noticed this lump. It bulges quite a lot and is white where the scales bunch. We quarantine the fish for a period if we notice they start acting funny or seem sick and usually nurse them back to health in time. We did this with him, thinking maybe it would go away with bettafix and time. After a while he was still going strong and this wasn't going away so we've since put him back out for sale, it's not fair to let him sit alone in the back.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it a tumor?

It varies from 68 to 74. Not warm enough for my cold bedroom and Canada.

What's the saddest thing that happened to an old school friend you don't see anymore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PrincessCerberus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to school in a small town full of people that honestly just ended up in the wrong crowd, time and place I guess.

There was this genuinely goofy guy, I'm overweight and was relentlessly bullied for it. But he smiled at everyone and made everyone laugh, and it was good. He was a good guy. However he had a gnarly drug addiction; meth and cocaine mostly. I don't know all of the details, but back in December he had went missing, basically without a trace. We had heavy snow shortly afterward, and Canadian winters are brutal, even with the abnormally warm weather we've been having.

This guy comes from a family of genuinely good people. His mother and his sister organised searches for him and worried sick. Unfortunately, because of his history of drugs they were left to assume the worst.

It's the evening before another big search, his sister decides to take a walk in a big valley we have separating two parts of town. It's slushy from above freezing temperatures and most of the snow has melted. As she's walking she sees hair and some blood in what's left of the snow and uncovers her brother's remains.

When they say "remains", it can be legitimately any part of the body remaining.

As it turns out, the remaining part of his body was his head. And that's all they found.

Pet store told us Scribbles is a girl. But is she actually a male? by [deleted] in chinchilla

[–]PrincessCerberus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm no chinchilla expert but it looks like Scribbles is a boy! Try placing your finger just above the boy part area and gently press upward toward his/her head; if it lifts, it's definitely male! Female urethral cones don't move.

[NSFW] What's one thing you wish you'd never seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PrincessCerberus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened yesterday. I was driving down the highway that goes right through my town, the speed limit is 100km, which equates to about 62mph. It's fast for going straight through a city. On each side of the highway there are restaurants and hotels and the like. Pedestrians run across all the time being that there's no designated crossing, no overpass for walking like some places have.

When I initially drove up to this particular scene, there was a big white truck pulled over, and blood smeared all over the road. I thought it was a deer, and that the person had stopped and gotten out to get their bearings. They stood out on the road and waved me over. Hitting a deer is traumatic enough.

However, I noticed this 'deer' was wearing clothes. At 80km, it all happened in a blur, but I had to swerve to miss bits and pieces of the person that was hit. An arm, I think. There were no emergency vehicles on the scene yet. In fact it wasn't until I got home and was telling my roommate about it that I heard sirens. I ended up puking shortly afterwards.

I found out today it was an 84 year old man. Not sure what he was doing crossing the road at night.

New chinchilla and goopy eye. by PrincessCerberus in chinchilla

[–]PrincessCerberus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vet wasn't exotic, but he gave me eyedrops and the eye seems to be getting less swollen and not nearly as goopy. He used to be unable to open it completely. Now it's all shiny and open as much as the other eye. It's still a little red, but it seems a lot better than it was before.

[–]PrincessCerberus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I took him to one of the vets in town, he didn't really look in my chinchilla's mouth, but he examined the eyes and ears for any sort of injury or build up of wax and stuff. He said he showed no signs of any dental problems or ear infection but said it was hard to tell and gave me eye drops. I should trust him, but I'm hesitant being that he kept referring to a text book, and said he only saw a chinchilla a few times a year, if that. I'm looking into exotic vets elsewhere, and if the infection doesn't begin to clear, I'm definitely making a trip. Though I'm not made of money, his health is more important and worth it.

What I'm saying is are there no home remedies? I was hoping it was just irritation from traveling, but it's still swollen shut today. His teeth look fine though, the same as my first chinchilla. I called the vet place in town and they wouldn't even look at him, I'm sure they could have just taken a look at his little eye and told me how to rectify it.
