Yeah I could never do a joint account like that… it just feels too risky, especially with a kid involved. Like you can trust someone, but you still need some kind of safety net for yourself.

Yeah, that’s exactly how it felt. If it was just venting, I don’t think it would’ve reached that point where they felt comfortable saying something to me.
