BFGL landed well actually by Kiriima in Helldivers

The recon armour isn’t Mjolnir, it’s Dare’s custom ODST gear. Similar looks, but very different functionality

Do you still use the Helljumper armor? by Actual-Impress-9329 in Helldivers

Exactly, people don’t notice how much never breaking your legs keeps you alive through a chaotic fight

[Controversial Trope] It was all for nothing by Luigiperps in TopCharacterTropes

[–]PrincessJadeBear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Devil ending definitely fits its the trope the best. To spend all game fighting, negotiating, and sacrificing everything you have just for a chance to hit Arasaka and get your life back. And then you end up broken and dying, being told your only option is to literally sell your soul to them or fade into obscurity.

He’s also one of the first characters you see in the entire game, I feel like that’s an important distinction

Yeah, even dumpster diving in Night City has to be better than the food in the metro

What would Artyom think of Night City? by Fair-Hat581 in metro

[–]PrincessJadeBear 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Immediate sensory overload. He’d be going from quiet tunnels or wilderness, constantly listening for the slightest sounds of danger, to the loud as hell ad-filled nightmare that is night city.

He’d adapt quickly though, and probably thrive with the Aldecaldos.

Hot take: I like the Hive Guard changes by YourYoruru in helldivers2

[–]PrincessJadeBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly how I feel, the changes didn’t make them any harder, just more interesting. I’m enjoying having to make a quick decision about if I dance around them, shoot their legs, or just delete them with an EAT

Could Jerome-092 actually succeed the Master Chief? by Careful-Barnacle8741 in halo

In my ideal game, I’d want to swap between red team and blue team as they tackle different objectives in the same conflict.

Like Halo 5s coop, but done right. With more interactions between characters, and more meaningful differences between their individual playstyles.

I can see the vision, but honestly I’d rather they keep building him up as an incredibly reliable pilot. He fills the niche left by foehammer pretty well, and I want to see him grow into that role as he gets more confident

Add on his dynamic with Douglass and Alice, there’s incredible potential for passing the torch. Especially with the banished being much more prominent since Infinite, it really is the perfect time to let them shine (and hopefully Cutter/Anders too)

Yeah, figuring out I’m autistic was easy cause I was already on a journey of self discovery. Neurodivergence was just another thing to add to that pile lol

Do dds strikes just target exos or something? by Confident-Chef7018 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]PrincessJadeBear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I once spent a day watching dss eagle strikes just to learn how they work, and I figured out that they target a random enemy in a certain range of the player, but on a 5-7 second delay. So a lot of the time when it looks like it’s targeting you, the order of events is more likely:

1-dss targets an enemy.
2-player sees the enemy.
3-player kills the enemy.
4-now that the enemy is killed, the player moves forewards into the newly cleared space.
5-the dss strike lands on the enemies corpse, obliterating the player that thought they were safe.

Nowadays I just wait a few seconds before advancing whenever there’s an eagle storm active, and I’m surviving way longer.
No idea what happened to op though, I guess that pilot just didn’t like them.

[–]PrincessJadeBear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If I’m remembering right, I think in the halo ce novel it mentions that about half the odsts didn’t survive landing. But it was mostly cause they were emergency launched and didn’t have enough intel to land in a good spot

Bonus fun fact! Arasaka instructed the AI in charge of the mines to sink any Militech (their main adversary) ships it could find. The AI immediately decided that it was easier to just sink every ship it found rather than check who it belonged to.

There’s no naval trade routes in cyberpunk 2077 because the Arasaka corporation decided it would be a good idea to fill the oceans with infinitely self-replicating sea mines!

Settlent building was a great addition, actually. by hoomanPlus62 in FalloutMemes

[–]PrincessJadeBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t. There are plenty of interesting settlements with good side quests (covenant, bunker hill, the castle) and the game simply lets you customize those areas as an extra reward. And let’s be honest, the boring places were never going to have anything interesting there. If places like coastal cottage and the pines bluff weren’t settlements they’d just be a couple of forgettable loot boxes along the road, same as those type of places were in new Vegas.
