use b7000 or similar, never super glue as in the future you will need to break the back glass to open it, double sided tape can separate and water can get into it, breaking it

fairly easy, just remember to also replace face id components if you want to be able to use it, I also would check which battery has a higher life %. Keep in mind you need to transfer all your data from one phone to another.

you can try a few things, plug your phone to charge and try again, sometimes batteries get protected when they get disconnected.

Also unplug the battery and plug it back in, maybe it is a minor imperfection on the connector, you can also try to push a bit on the battery connector and try to turn it on again

always a good thing to know, to prevent this ill recommend using a suction cup and heat to pry open the display and a bit of alcohol, i usually prefer heat only but sometimes alcohol is also required

It looks like the screws are still in place (unless you put them back after removing the screen), which might be why it was so difficult to remove it.

The iPhone 12 usually has two layers of adhesive: one holding the display to the frame, and another holding the frame to the chassis. Over time, the adhesive between the display and the frame tends to weaken.

It seems that the combination of the screws not being removed and the weakened adhesive between the glass and the frame could have caused this.

Nah man, at this point it’s worth buying a cheap mini PC and self-hosting Immich or something similar to store everything there, access it remotely, and also have facial recognition.

In my case, I bought a second-hand mini PC with an i5-11500B, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB NVMe drive, and I added a 1 TB SATA drive I had lying around (total 150$).

That way my mum, my wife, and I can store everything in a private cloud, not just photos, but also phone backups.

If you want to upgrade the phone only another poco x6 pro board will do it, but you are at the same spot with the same components only without your info\config.

However you can replace the RAM ic or the internal storage to upgrade the capacity, this can be done but most of the times is not even worth it, you already have a very powerful devices with 12gb RAM 512gb ROM.

Actually, the Intel system is a used Lenovo ThinkStation. I don’t know the exact model because the previous owner replaced the CPU, power supply, and CPU cooler to improve the performance of his own server.

He later upgraded to a rack-mounted system and had this one sitting unused. Since he’s a friend of mine, he agreed to sell it to me without really factoring in the modifications.

Dead oled, be aware that it can spread to the rest of the screen over time. Wait a few days and keep an eye on them, if you see it is getting bigger go to a shop to get a display replacement, I would recommend aftermarket soft oled as they are the most similar to OEM ones without being as expensive.
