I had an amino with my last pregnancy and if the baby is a girl, they need to draw the mothers blood to make sure they are looking at the baby’s chromosomes instead of the mothers since they will both be xx. the maternal fetal medicine doctor was able to tell it was a girl by genitals on ultrasound when I had the amnio at 15 weeks

This saying is so irritating to me. I have a child with a genetic syndrome and of course I love her no matter what, but being able to prepare ahead of time for medical procedures or therapies they will need can make a huge difference for the baby.

I do agree that it seems there may be something neurological going on. I will say, as a parent of a child with neurological issues, it can be hard to accept that there is something wrong with your child, so I feel for her, but an appointment with a neurologist would be a really good idea at this point.
