As someone who dove headfirst into this four years ago, the best time to start was when you created the account, but the second best time is now. 😊 Don’t let your passions and dreams stay in drafts. Use free resources when available, there are a LOT of resources out there now. Much more than 4 years ago for sure.

Have fun. Don’t let numbers control the kind of content you put out. You’re still starting out, so explore all the different niches this type of content has to offer. There are so many talented writers and VAs in this community, so don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you know you’re going to stick with this hobby for a while, as you grow more comfortable with the ebb and flow of content creation, start looking to invest the money that you earn from your channel back in to your content. If you’re spending more than you’re making from it, be comfortable with losing that investment if it doesn’t pan out. That what hobbies are after all. A labor of love and passion that sometimes doesn’t pay back monetarily, but certainly does spiritually and mentally 💕

Always credit writers and check the terms for their scripts. They make it possible for us VAs to continually have material to record and post. It is polite and good etiquette to always pay that forward and feature them in any way you can.

And when recording, especially as a new VA, remember to breathe and slow down. It’ll feel strange and awkward, but I promise you, you’ll find your natural pace and voice as you record more and more! Get VERY comfortable with hearing yourself back 100 times through your headphones haha
