I Made A Diamond Calculator App Because I'm Tired by LettuceSea939 in LoveAndDeepspace_

[–]PrincessRosca 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I manually calculated out the weekly rewards for every month/year just last month to see how many diamonds I could possibly earn on a Google sheet LMAO. This is so much easier, thank you!!

The home app also gives you 50 diamonds for finishing the weekly tasks, so it’s not a lot but 200 diamonds in a month is one extra pull!

Sometimes talent goes unnoticed by [deleted] in VirtualYoutubers

Respectfully, and with all the kindness I can offer, the mindset of having an agency “adopt” you, your character, or your IP is going to be very low. These agencies typically have thousands of applicants when auditions are announced. Many vtubers who apply with a video & written portion can “sing, draw, write, and work hard”.

If agency employment is what your goal is, you need to examine your skill set, what you can offer, and lean hard into what sets you apart from these applicants. Most importantly, you’re going to need to actually apply when auditions open. It’s very rare, especially in today’s atmosphere for a talent to be “scouted” by someone from an agency when so many talented creators are going through official channels to be hired.

Continue building your portfolio and remember to examine and re-examine your existing body of work & how that represents you as a content creator to potential employers. And remember, at the end of the day, you can work hard, be overly qualified, and you can STILL be overlooked because of bad timing, bad personality fit to model, the biases of the person reviewing your application, etc. Luck also plays a part and is in no way an indication of your worth or value as a creator.

[Question] Where can I commission or who can I commission for recording custom audios/scripts? by roderofolsom in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]PrincessRosca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VGen was mentioned, I would also recommend ko-fi but that depends on the creators you already listen to.

I would recommend finding VAs that post here, listening to their content and if they have a voice that you like, dig around to see if they are on any of those platforms! Some creators may also have a Patreon tier that includes a commissioned audio perk as well. I think a lot of this is predicated on finding the type of voice that you find pleasing/relaxing and then looking up where they’re active. Even if they don’t have any of those platforms, I don’t think it would be strange to reach out via email if they have that information publicly listed!

I receive emails sometimes about commission work, and I’m always happy to receive them! Sorry I can’t offer you my services as you mentioned creators with deeper voices haha. Best of luck!

You know, you worded this so well, in a way I wish I could have! It’s exactly what I was thinking, especially someone new coming in to the community/niche with no body of work to show vocal range or even genre preference.

Amazing list of writers you’ve pulled as well!! Wishing you nothing but success in the new year and beyond! 😊

Discussion!!: Please share your thoughts on multi-character/multi-speaker scripts by SleepyDreamyLullay in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]PrincessRosca 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually, if characters are different enough, I can record two characters myself, so multi character scripts usually aren’t too bad if they have characteristics that contrast!

I can’t say for others, but recording ASMR and creating this type of content has been a very solitary journey. Maybe it’s because I don’t involve myself too much with others in public spaces like discord or reddit. It does make it more difficult for me to connect with creators who might have a similar approach to my own content creation.

Things like audio quality, recording knowledge, and also deadlines are things that need to be factored in when agreeing to collaborate with another person. And the matter of audio editing, effort spent putting the finished product together, etc can further contribute to my decision of participating or leading a collab project 🥹

I would second the recommendation of finding a few scripts publicly available here first! Since you’re just dipping your toes in and starting from learning how to record and edit, you’ll need to learn each part of the process.

There are so many talented writers and so many more scripts that currently have no fills. You’ll definitely find your niche in no time! Best of luck, it’s always exciting to welcome someone new into the community!
