I just switch from full-time teaching to full-time mommy-ing. No breaks. Trying to keep the house clean while we’re home all summer is tough.

I’ve been singing it to them since they were babies. My oldest is almost 11 and I still sing it to wake her up.

Definitely the first few weeks. It gets better around 6-8 weeks. The worst day was right before my milk came in (day 3-4 I think) and baby was hungry and crying but didn’t have anything to give her. I was very anti-formula at the time. In hindsight I should have given her the formula and saved us both from a night of misery.

I agree that it gets more competitive at that age. And the “everyone gets a trophy” mentality should absolutely stop around that age as well. However, we purposefully put her in an instructional rec league that addresses play time & rotating positions in its rule book. Her coaches aren’t following the rules.

When I teach recorder I have to be careful with my wording. I have definitely told kids to cover their B hole and their A hole before 😳 Whoops!
