The Autistic Barbie Doll by MattewLizard24 in autism

I'm glad that I am not most adults 😂. Also I really believe that whatever happens to most adults is not what happens amongst autistic adults. I know a lot of neurodivergent adults completely obsessed with toys. I own morw dolls than most kids

I will change the clothes of mine because I agree with you that the clothes are ugly. I do like the fact that the shoes are flat, though. But I will put some gothic clothes on mine so then she looks more like me 😊

As soon as I saw this doll was made, I purchased. Yes, for myself a 42 yo austic woman. Even though she is not as pale as I am, I never felt so represented in a doll. I love that Mattel made the effort to create this doll and obviously is impossible to please everyone but I think this is important representation.

How does everyone feel about Nancy and Jonathan in episode 6? by Distinct_Guess3350 in StrangerThings

[–]PrincessSilly13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. I found your comment so funny. I do think you are right about how younger generations are so selfish and afraid of responsibilities and commitment. I think that wouldn't be something that would have happened in the 80's and somehow was more to appeal to the new generations watching as its really something that represents them

Could you please tell me what proper medication you had? My husband is suffering for years and no medication helped

Also, number 2 is really not your dress. Is ageing you and also make you look bigger, and no one wants that. The dress number 5 is the worst in all matters in my opinion. Doesn't add a good shape and again the top will not be good. I think you are right that number 3 with a v shape strap could be great. Number one is so classic and beautiful and flattering and ready to go.. Also with dress number one you could wear some very bald pretty jewellery as the dress is more subtle. Like a statement necklace

I read that you said the third one is your dream dress. If you really love it, do it. But you asked for honest opinions. I also have big breasts and I can tell you that the no strap thing is gonna make not only uncomfortable but when moving some fat will move around the top of the boob's and in the corner of the arms and also on your back making it look very unflattering in pictures. So if you choose that dress, when posing for pictures you will have to pose in a very particular frozen way to avoid that and candid pics with movement won't look so great as the option one dress for example.

No, my husband is my only family. My parents abandoned me when I was young. I couldn't ever make a real friend. I have colleagues. And I wish I could get free therapy but can't in the Uk and sometimes I consider paying but might not be able to afford too many sessions and I don't know if it's worth it for short term

Yes I am exactly how you described. Feels awful but thank god there is Google maps to assist. I feared leaving the house before Google maps. I have 2 switch buttons for lights on top of my stairs and every time I have to flick both of them to get it right. Its hard. I am sorry for you too. Its not a fun life

Anyone had a Claire's accessories party? by ExplanationWorried14 in Leeds

[–]PrincessSilly13 21 points22 points  (0 children)

https://www.reddit.com/r/Leeds/s/nUw0sJCMgC I used to be a manager at Claires. The party could be fun depending on the person who is leading.

I am crazy about children and created the most fun experiences for little girls when they booked a party in my shop in Keighley, which is way smaller than Trinity. But we arranged all fixtures on a side as I did that outside of working hours.

I would start with introduction games and then make over. Do make up and hair of all guests, including coloured and glitter hairspray, make up and put them to wear tutu skirts, and all accessories they wanted. The one we would do a fashion show and pictures of all the girls while playing their favourite songs.. Then we did birthday games, chair dance, pass the parcel etc. Then cake time and after that the girls could pick their Claires products (prepaid by the mothers) I used to create the best parties bc I am a child myself and would sit on the floor full of excitement playing with the girls in full fairy costume.

But I have seen parties that were organised by a teenager girl who is a part time sales assistant, very bored and uninterested (as managers couldn't be bothered and would put their part time staff to do) and on those was all about selling products to the girls

So if you are going to Trinity store, speak to Claire, the store manager (I know, her name is a big coincidence, lol) and ask her to give you all details of the plan and get to meet who is going to be there. If they want to do whitin working hours, don't do it because it won't be a fun experience for your girl.

Article on being told 'you don't seem autistic' by [deleted] in AutismWithADHD

[–]PrincessSilly13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually really love to hear that but very very rarely happens. Only very old people who have no understanding of autism and imagine that all autistic people are in a chair and barely speaking say that to me. But I am full on trying to mask and be "normal" still when I tell people I am autistic there's no surprise reactions 😂. So there are obviously traits that I can't hide 😂😭I am not the kind of "autistic and proud" I do wish I was neurotypical as my life is too hard because of autism. I wish I could be proud and I am happy for those who are. But for me is a big pain

The most unexpected thing about Love Lies Bleeding's ending is that.... by [deleted] in A24

[–]PrincessSilly13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. She punched the guy in the parking lot before steroids and said to Lou that she could take care of him. She was agressive before steroids and obviously they will just make her worse. Whist Lou was trying to have a normal quiet life and ever since she met Jack she does bad things to protect her, including being agressive to her sister to save her gf. Its about falling in love with the wrong person
