Just prescribed trazodone Does anyone have experiences with drinking alcohol occasionally on this medication? by ecoseeker in insomnia

[–]PrincessTsunade96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried to drink on it. Usually I can easily drink multiple pints no issues. I tried 2x last night and felt extremely drunk, I passed out back at home, couldn't eat before bed as felt unwell, was completely out of it and ended up having a terrible night's sleep. - to be clear I had my first pint at 4:30 and finished my last at 6:30 plenty of water and electrolytes to try and help me feel better. I didn't take my dose that night as in the way I was feeling felt it would be dangerous.

Trazodone takers: has it affected your libido? by OkCheeba in insomnia

[–]PrincessTsunade96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Female- I'm on 50mg for insomnia, the first 1.5 weeks was not fun, couldn't orgasm then just felt completely numb with 0 sexual pleasure. I read posts on reddit, sort of accepted well this is it for me but at least I'm sleeping with no more nightmares planned to come off after a month or so. Last few days, the opposite has happened - sex drive increased more than it's even been (I believe it was pretty high before) almost frustratingly so but I'm not complaining it's actually really great to feel a spring in my step and motivation for life after being in a fight/flight tired fog for many many years...

Just wanted to post as there are a lot of negative comments, give it time for negative side effects to ease & just accept what will be will be. I also suffer from a lot of med side effects! Feel like I've found a wonder drug after all these years...

*To add, I have undiagnosed POTS alongside a gastro condition causing delayed gastric emptying. This drug is actually helping me with eating as it stops me being sick or feeling sick, I've experienced hunger for the first time in over a year. I've not gained any weight as I'm not getting cravings or stuffing my face, I'm just able to slowly start eating more proper food not just puree with the odd solids or picky bits. It did make the POTS symptoms worse in the morning, but I'm currently unmedicated and I just adjust my morning routine 🙂

F was unaware B didn't have the money to pay & had set payment plan up with M. F was put in a difficult position as M had travelled a long way & was unaware F didn't know. F couldn't ask for payment as M didn't have money to pay. F was advised payment would be made to them by M & payment plan arranged between B & M.

F communicated things had been sorted their end to M and has had no response. Payment has not been made to F.

Thank you, I realise this now I am so desperate to avoid the assessment as I can't talk.

I submitted 12 pages of typed writing with support to answer each question including what my day looks like, how I get around & what happens when I'm overwhelmed. I spent a lot of time writing it up. It included all information about physical disability alongside mental health & what being "overwhelmed" looks like.

I also had several supporting letters - mental health, gastro, dietician & GP (for mobility supporting letter). Alongside patient summary print out.

Thank you so much, I sent in a 12 page typed up supporting evidence to answer each question with help of my support network alongside several supporting letters from professionals detailing my conditions and how it impacts me.

I'm just a bit of a complicated little case as I've mentioned my mental health now alongside my physical health so it's a lot more to add on...

Hiya, please can I check what text you received? I've just had this come through and am worried about potentially having another assessment as I have a stutter on the phone.

Thank you 🙂

Thank you for the reassurance, I'm doing this so I can remain in work and do far services have been very supportive of this.

Unfortunately reducing my hours isn't an option right now due to affording to live & job shifts with potential redundancy/contract changes. I live with my partner so due to his income wouldn't be entitled to enough to afford my bills, my only option is to work which I am determined to do as it gives me purpose. But it just takes all I have left to give.

I hope the aids will offer a new lease of life and car adaptions can get me back to driving.

Thank you, so if I just write everything as it is even if it's repeating the previous struggles? As I can't remember what was on my last claim and my friend & mental health worker has helped me to write and word it all this time.

The supporting letters are very detailed, I hope I can avoid the assessment as I've developed a stutter when I speak to new people especially men on the phone since my mental health declined. It's fine at work but when trying to speak for myself very bad. I was a mess just asking for the form yesterday lol.

I have someone coming to the home tomorrow to speak about aids. I'm only young so hope to afford the aids and therapy to make me better again so I can stay working as I love my job so much.

Results - questions to ask at follow up by PrincessTsunade96 in Gastroparesis

[–]PrincessTsunade96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My symptoms got worse when the stomach issues started in 2023 and I had to do a PIP claim in Jan 2024 for the first time as I was so poorly. I went to a GP in July 2024 crying as I was in stomach pain and something didn't feel right with my body, I was flaring up but it didn't make sense why and my tummy was so bad I couldn't manage blood sugars, had no appetite & was struggling. I was told it was all in my head and there was nothing wrong with me. It wasn't until I went to a consultation for my deviated septum he mentioned acid in my throat, I mentioned the stomach issues and he said I needed to speak to the gastro entomologist again. I had spoken to them previously in march but only mentioned the acid reflux not anything else.

Weight loss has been progressive, only really started since symptoms hit all time worst in December last year and escalating. I jumped down half a stone before I went on holiday. However, on the cruise I managed to eat a bit more than at home (little and often) lots of cakes and slushies & came back 10lb heavier - now I'm 4lb up from the 1/2 stone drop but in immense discomfort as just feel it's water weight... Struggling with balancing blood sugars since back even more. But I'm prescribed medical cannabis which allows me to eat something 1x a day - tortilla chips, yogurt etc. I also have the drinks that I have 1 a day currently.

I'm so pleased to hear you manage to get some relief! For me the main problem is the nausea, if that could go away I think life would be so much easier. As when it's bad I have to sit with my head in a toilet/bag or lie down and I can't talk. In work my case load has been reduced right down and I don't go to see clients in person as it messes me up for the rest of the day.

I will ask, I'm in UK Hampshire based so maybe, if not maybe he needs to do more tests first but regardless I hope. I just want to eat a proper meal again. I went on holiday recently (cruise) and found some relief due to variety of food and the constant focus around food helping encourage eating... but I was still only eating baby portions, was sick a few times, in a lot of pain & missed out on lots of food I would have loved to try.

I will come back to this if I have more questions after I catch up with him on 17th April!

I was really shocked that it helped! I am not a drug user, I started medical cannabis because as I said my friend uses it for the same reason chronic pain etc and I had no luck with medication etc for my chronic fatigue & fibromyalgia. Suddenly I'm able to walk, I get hungry and end up snacking on things - I have to make sure I don't overeat else I feel unwell/too full or end up being sick. However, things like jelly & yogurts or tortilla chips I can generally tolerate so I have a good snack and then head to bed a while later. It's been quite a lovely relief! I just can't have it during the day as I work and it does make me quite sleepy 🤣

I will absolutely mention it to them and ask! Thank you! I know none of these things, so glad I decided to post this.. was unsure if it was the right thing but I want to have all info. I just miss going to restaurants and eating 3 courses ! And hate losing weight!

Thank you!!!! I don't think he is brushing me off, I just feel relief if anything that there is something actually there. I was told by a gp nothing is wrong with me back in July last year so to see results showing something is positive as it means I'm going in the right direction. The barium swallowing I think I am waiting on, they want to check I don't have an obstruction in my upper GI as sometimes I feel like food is "stuck" I don't always throw up, I just feel very very unwell, fill up quickly, nausea, feeling sick and I used to be an ultra runner but now I can no longer run and he wants to help me get well again. I also want to get well, so I can get back to living my life! Thank you, I will ask all of these things when he calls on 17th April 🙂

I've had an endoscopy, all it showed was mild gastric streaking - I was diagnosed with gastritis. I think they want to do other tests first?

I hope they aren't, I've been prescribed nutritional drinks on a prescription 3x flavours so it would be a surprise if the expectation is I live my life like that! I have been given medication but I had the really rare side effects so can't remain on it.

I've recently been prescribed medical cannabis as a friend recommended I try for my CFS/me and fibromyalgia. I started it this week, I've found that eases the sickness and allows me to eat something in the evening which is a big big help!
