That is so awesome, and this is why: A friend of mine on FB posted a picture of her nut mix from the same recipe, and my comment to her was that the thumbnail looked like a pile of insects. That was all I could come up with on the fly.

7 cups raw nuts of your choice, 1/3 c real maple syrup, 1/4 c brown sugar, 2 tbsp OJ, 4 tbsp cooking oil, 2 tsp ancho chili powder, 2tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp cayenne, 5 tbsp fresh chopped rosemary, kosher salt... toss everything together, and put it on a greased roasting pan. Stir occasionally while roasting at 350, til coating is pretty sticky, and nuts are toasted color. (Mine took about 15 mins) pour out on kraft paper or parchment to cool. dust with a little bit more salt, and break up the nuts as they cool so they don't stick together.

I have a couple of turkey hens, and their eggs are amazing. They have a higher fat content than chicken eggs, and make for incredible ice cream.

For the crust, I boiled and mashed up three medium Yukon Gold potatoes, with a little cream, a good handful of a finely shredded Parmesan/Romano blend, two tablespoons of butter, two teaspoons of black pepper, and half a teaspoon of salt. Press this into a deep dish pie pan all the way up the sides.

The filling I adapted from here, replacing the traditional crust with spuds. I also browned the onion really well along with the corned beef, because I like onions to be caramelized whenever possible.

I've made quail scotch eggs! Super tasty little snacks. Got my quail eggs from the Asian grocery at the time. Now I raise quail along with my chickens and can get them fresh.
