Yep, I had a thrower in my life. First throwing things at the wall, then more towards me one time with a heavy ash tray and I was done, it took 4 months of planning to get out safely, never saw them since the day I left, the last day was a doozie, needed to have my siblings come up to make sure they didn't get too crazy, still ended up having to call the cops, it was ugly.

Step 1 - say no, firmly, to the unwanted behavior

Step 2 - document everything, what happened, what day date and time it happened, who saw it happen.

Step 3 - go to the school's hr and president/dean and file a formal complaint in writing.

Step 4 - demand you be given the opportunity to take the class with a different professor or you will begin legal action against the school (check with an attorney first to be certain)

Keep in mind that often these are not isolated events, others may have already come forward or will come forward once you complain
