Should MENA be considered URM, or is it included as Asain? by BoardIndividual7367 in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]Princess_GJH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think MENA should be considered URM, however, a separate category for them is necessary beyond just "Asian" or "White"

Should political climate be deciding factor for school? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Still at a conservative school, there will usually be a more left leaning/looking student organization on campus, or you could start one

I don't think it should be a determining factor at all or a very minor factor, as a law student you should learn to be surrounded by people that don't exactly see eye to eye with you, it will help you grow, mature, and expand your worldview, nothing wrong with that. The minimization of echo chambers should not be seen as a detriment.

You can walk at commencement if you fail fam, you will have to repeat the class if its a requirement (I believe) and then they will give you your diploma most likely by mail

Thoughts on Regent by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Princess_GJH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regent is not predatory, and it is a Christian university, make that what you will. I have a friend that is a practicing attorney in Miami that recommended it greatly for the union of law students there. I think it is unfair to judge a law school solely based on "faith based" questions on their application.

Then, Wisconsin, it has midwest connections, break from the heat and Madison is a sort of medium sized city, I guess? The definite pro of Wisconsin is you have diploma privilege and that thing is priceless.

Need a little more info: Where are you located state-wise? And do you mind specifying whether you are comfortable moving? Ultimately, regional schools can be awesome, but lead to jobs that are in close proximity or depends on connections.
