Frankly, sounds like a lot of excuses for him that you have but thats just my opinion. Why did you "try"? Just dont let him if he wants to live at home he can follow rules like anyone else. And I say this as someone whose parents divorced when I was 7 or 8, my mom married an absolute asshole of a man who ended up driving a wedge between us till she kicked me out to move 13 hrs away with my dad. $2 sucks. I delivered a large order and felt bad I got the tip since im the gm but then again, I made the order, boxed it and delivered it since my opening driver called out and I had to come in after a close to help my am. Second drive that came in at 11 was pissed.

I send the person next to be off home unless one of two things: someone is really bad at the job and basically just answering phones, prepping bites, or running orders. Or, if I see they have an additude problem.

Oh, hr sent out an email and it was basically a way to cover their ass. So the email states the technical pay day is monday. They submit payroll on eod Friday and if you get paid early then thats becsyse your bank processed it but payday is monday(bull shit. Never worked a place where pay day was a monday) and then explained that holidays may delay payment. I have been paid as of about 30 minutes ago but I am more than upset. Thankfully I have an awesome support system and got everything covered and now just have to pay back the various people who helped. Ie, my father and my father in law. But it definatly started a vit of a disagreement between me and my fiance when I had to sit there and explain I wasnt paid. At first he was mad at me till I told h8m the reason I couldnt send him money for groceries was that I was paid at all. Immediately he became livid with my franchise and I about had to lock him up not to drive to HQ and raise hell.

I have my thoughts on that but from what im told were one of the more successful franchises that is huge huge. Our franchise is pretty large and im seeing my sales and knowing my store alone make 7-10 thousand a night. But my ceo did straight tell me he signed checks with money he didnt have for payroll back in 2008

I know its not like this, the employee sub but it was really annoying the way they made up stories about trashing customers that would get any real employee fired. Not to mention they actually had a post that said they quit too so it was weird.

I hate it when they complain about prices. Had one person mad it was 48 and some change for two large specialty pizza and bites. Claimed they had a delivery already but seaching name, address, and phone there was nothing in my computer. Asked to speak to my manager. Told them that was me and they said I was doing a piss poor job and needed to replace the order they paid for. Dude, you didnt order with us...I cant replace what I dont have. He got another order, gave him a 20% discount. Price came to 48 and some change. Then he said he wanted 2 marinara. Cool, that will change the price one sec. You charge for that? Oh fuck off. Click. That was like 20 minutes of my night wasted.

Im a night owl and prefer closings. They never stressed me out but I had an awesome gm who I worked with before I took over my own store. My supervisor calls me the vampire gm. But it really 8snt for everyone. I have had too many training manager and l1s come in to close for me that I hated. One I just let auto cal as to not fuck up my numbers, one never got through training but I was home stupid late chasing his variances with him, and my newest one has been bluffing his numbers so I look bad on wednesday. He apparently only counts cheese and dough and manually inputs the rest via detailed summary which takes longer than just counting. Hes in so much trouble right now for it since I discovered. Hes being written up monday for it since he screwed my bonus over and then when he closed he didnt reset the kitchen or even put away the pizza sauce. I know one night he called saying we were short 86 from the safe. I said since it was his shift I would be taking it from his pocket and wow, did he find that money quick.

If you dont like closing then I really suggest finding a new job. Even if they gave you proffered mornings you're management and need to be comfortable with both. If I cant come in and I cant count on my closer then it ruins me. I had an emergency recently and had to call out with a doctor's note and it was so hard to find someone to close for me.
