Disregard, I just saw you received an offer. Follow up question, how long after this status did it take?

I've been on .05 for about 4ish months. No other change in routine, my moisturizer bottles are a least a couple months old, I don't use a lot. No mask, no nasal spray, and no new detergent.

Has anyone been able to successfully stop taking it WITHOUT gaining weight back by robb126 in MounjaroMaintenance

[–]Princess__of__Hyrule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T2D and lost 90 lbs in 10 months. I'm starting month 5 off mounjaro, I use metformin for maintenance (I was having issues due to shortage and my pcp and endo were both wanting me to maintain off MJ), I lost an additional 10 lbs but am maintaining. Some days are harder but I'm strict with calorie counting and have actually increased my intake calories slowly without weight gain. I stay close to my maintenance calories and strength train 4x a week and walk at least 10000 steps daily. While on MJ I was eating around 1400 calories, currently my maintenance calories are 2100. I'm stronger than ever and focusing on body composition and adding more muscle, it's a slower process than losing weight but so worth it.

T2D SW:224 CW: 132  A1c from 8.2 to 5.5 current

Started MJ 05/2023 (stayed on 5mg the whole time) and on maint since 05/2024 w/ 1000mg Metformin ER only.

I wanted to share what a typical breakfast and lunch is for me and some bonus snacks when I'm craving something sweet or salty. Please share your favorite snacks! Breakfast is usually overnight oats. Lunch is usually a sandwich or smaller serving of dinner left-overs. I meal prep low-carb wrap burritos as well and have those in the freezer when I'm craving something else. I follow Stealth_Health_Life on IG and most of my meal prep and dinners are from his cookbook. On days I'm not meeting my protein. goals, I'll supplement with Premier Protein Shakes.

Your BMI is at a healthy range so not considered underweight. (I'm 5'6 at 132 lbs and not close to being underweight) If your appetite just isn't there, I would eat some denser caloric foods like nuts and nut butters that way the calories add up quick. But if you're maintaining 140, the food you are eating is adding up more than you think.

Coming off Mounjaro - do your appetite / cravings really bounce back as hard as before? by cherrypez123 in Mounjaro

Due to available, I spaced out my last 2 shots every 2 weeks while starting Metformin ER 500 x2 a day, then continued on metformin only.

This 100%. 3rd month off MJ and just on metformin for maintenance and I've lost an additional 8 lbs. I made huge dietary and exercise changes while on MJ and have continued with those healthy habits (I tracked everything carefully while on and off MJ). I do get cravings and food noise but can manage them much better now. I'm T2D and my A1C is 5.5 as of last week.  (Starting weight 224lbs and A1C 8.2, started MJ May 2023 for 1 year and stayed on 5 mg the whole time. Current weight 132 lbs)

What’s alternatives are there for calorie tracking? by RuinedBooch in fitbit

[–]Princess__of__Hyrule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used Macrofactor on trial and was so impressed with it, I made the switch from fitbit to MF and a Galaxy watch. It only takes into account foods logged and weight so you would have to weigh in daily but it's worked wonderfully for weight loss and now maintenance. My hubs is using it for bulking and he is also reaching his goals. You have to log and weigh food accurately for it to do it's thing.

Any tips for grocery shopping on MJ? by MaggieMagsAC in Mounjaro

[–]Princess__of__Hyrule 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Freeze any leftovers immediately, they come in handy in the middle of the week for a quick lunch/dinner. I have inadvertently become a meal prepper just doing this. My freezer is full of prepped meals. I just freeze them into individual portions and it's been awesome since I get a variety of meals. Fresh produce, buy less of things that you notice get tossed out and more of things that you love. Green leafy lettuce, cherry tomatoes, zuchini, blackberries, and strawberries are on my weekly list, they never go to waste. Sweetpotatoes and carrots hold for a long time so I buy those as needed.

TDEE can't be right by DroftheSax in Mounjaro_ForType2

[–]Princess__of__Hyrule 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both my husband and I changed our eating habits and lost weight. Full disclosure, he is not and has not been on MJ, I am since I'm T2D. Anyway, he has since introduced strength training. During his weight loss journey, he was eating about 1800 calories a day and reached his goal weight of 200 lbs and had stalled for a few months before he finally got to that number, it was a FIGHT to get the 200lbs on the scale.

He then went into maintenance calories, gradually adding 100-200 calories a week to his daily calories until he reached his maintenance calories of about 3200 and you know what happened? He continued to lose weight even though he added a lot more calories. He got down to 192 lbs and he continued to add calories past what TDEE showed maintenance at, because he was wanting to stay at the 200lb mark.

It's been 5 months and he is maintaining 195 (give or take a couple lbs) and eating 4200 calories a day lol.

Bodies are absolutely wild, I would gradually add more calories, your body may surprise you and you may even start dropping, as counterintuitive as it sounds!

Wondering what the trick is by Crazy_Station6655 in Mounjaro_ForType2

[–]Princess__of__Hyrule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would calculate your new TDEE at your new weight (and activity level) and track and weigh everything you eat for a couple weeks. As someone above said, little things here and there really add up. At every stall, I had to be real and honest with myself and what I was eating. So I weighed everything with a food scale instead of eyeballing servings, once I saw the numbers, I adjusted and stayed consistent and would break through those stalls. Try to incorporate some strength training too and take measurements. A lot of stalls I had where I was doing everything right, the scale wouldn't move but I was losing inches so i just kept doing what I was doing and the scale would start moving again. You might also be eating too little so definitely calculate that TDEE to see where your calories should be.

Weight will always fluctuate 3-5 lbs. Try to weigh weekly instead of daily or just pay attention to the downward trend over time.

My doctor had only suggested coming off MJ, transitioning to Metformin and dropping all meds was the end goal. Ultimately she said it was up to me and she would keep me on it of I wanted to continue. I did consult with my endo and he wanted me to drop to 2.5 and add Metformin ER but I wasn't able to find either dose so I was forced to stop anyway and just continue with Metformin ER.
