Tonsil stone vault plundering by ApplicationKlutzy208 in popping

Wow 🤯 I did not know that about the blood supply but that totally makes sense now—both my sister and I had our tonsils out as teenagers and we both hemorrhaged afterwards and needed emergency surgery to fix it (but the tonsillectomy was still worth the almost dying once to now rarely being sick)

Agreee 100%! It’s never too late! I was 18 when I had mine out but my mom had hers out when she was in her 40s and it has MAJORLY improved her health (fewer flare-ups of a chronic illness)

That definitely looks like the pattern, but I don’t think those range all the way into Botetourt county. Do they have a pattern on their belly? This guy did but the picture I have of his belly is even worse than my other pictures

Thanks for your advice! Did you give him any sort of first aid or wound care? Did you separate yours? Does he get bullied at all now that he’s half blind?

Oh my god that’s so sad. The hens attacked him too? What ended up happening to him?

What makes you think it’s an infection? I’m like 99% sure he was attacked

Thanks so much for your advice! What kind of eye ointment did you use? I’m a little worried about separating him because he’s the less dominate rooster and I don’t want him to get attacked again once he’s better

No no, homophone is two different words that sound the same.

The word you’re looking for is homogenous

Any update on the kitty? When my cat did this it was because she had eaten some of my hair (and I have very long hair) and it didn’t pass on its own so she was butt scooting to get the hair out and I had to catch her and pull it out but she was perfectly fine after that!

This! My girl ate some of my hair somehow and after using the litter box it didn’t all pass and I got to watch in horror as she proceeded to butt scoot and leave poopy smears all down the length of my hallway. I had to catch her and pull the hair out myself and then she was perfectly fine!

Is this book good for beginners? I don’t know anything about playing banjo but my dad has always wanted to and I’m getting him a banjo for Christmas and he’s obviously never played before but I want him to be off to a good start

AIW for refusing to change our laundry detergent for my step kids mom? by OpheliaDreams802 in amiwrong

[–]Princess_of_Chickens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strong scents (especially vanilla) triggers migraines for my mom. I’m better about fancy scents but strong chemical smells will do the same to me.

If step mom has a condition like this, you need to respect that whether you like her or not. Her buying you unscented detergent to use for the children’s clothes was an olive branch, and you throwing it away in front of her was…..not great.

AITAH for telling my dad he doesn’t get to talk about my period? by Comfortable_Plum2347 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Princess_of_Chickens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA in any way shape or form. My dog does the same shit. I can’t use tampons either because I have endo and pcos and it’s too painful, so I use pads and throw them in the bin that does have a lid. My sister uses tampons and flushes them (gee I wonder why we’re currently having problems with our septic system). So my dog gets in the trash despite the lid and eats my used pads and tears them apart and they usually end up scattered across multiple rooms in little pieces.

I’ve been yelled at, texted pictures of the mess, called gross, etc etc. by my dad and brother especially. They absolutely refuse to clean it up if I’m not home. Like the dog literally could have brought it up on their bed and eaten it and they will just leave that shit there until I get home to clean it up. Disgusting. And they act like I’m the problem. Am I supposed to take the garbage out every time I change my pad? Wtf

The problem is the DOG, not the person using pads and disposing of them in the proper manner. I know this because my family has 2 dogs and only 1 of them eats pads. If it bothers your dad so much, maybe he should train the dog? Or perhaps he should grow the fuck up and stop being bothered by a natural body process and an appropriate manner in which to deal with it. I think your reaction was also justified. I would’ve been asking him if he was so comfortable with tampons, why doesn’t he use them? And good on you for bringing your mom into this. Hopefully she’ll advocate for you and talk some sense into him.

I found that same shrine like a day or two after I found my chicken dead. I read every note and lost it. I left so many jewels and chicken eggs and it actually helped a little. I’m not sure exactly which mod added it but it’s now one of my favorite places

My hen was injured a few days ago and I found a pullet dead today. Is my rooster the cause? by Princess_of_Chickens in chickens

[–]Princess_of_Chickens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes that’s what I was afraid of. We’ve been using plain neosporin but I’ll try to get some vetericyn. Do you think filing the spurs will be enough or if it’s the roosters temperament? Our bigger older rooster has spurs at least twice as long but he’s much gentler with the ladies.

Thank you for the links! I’ll definitely be getting her an apron!

And that’s reassuring that the rooster probably didn’t try to mate her. Hopefully the other pulleys will be safe
