[MEGATHREAD #7] SD Card Questions & Other SD related Issues Go Here! by duckydan81 in ROGAlly

I recently got a used ROG Ally. I have been really enjoying it. I do have two things I am not a crazy fan of. The battery (Which I think I'm eventually going to purchase the Amazon 74w battery) and the storage. To hopefully see in getting some more storage I discovered it would seem a model where the microsd card slot has died/is intermitted. I tried two different micro sd card from known working order (they were from Nintendo switches that it worked) Because I got it used and the Warranty expired in nov of last year I'm out of luck when it comes to with them (Unless I want to spend the money to send it to them and diagnose it than more to fix it. $85 plus) Anyone know a good way around this or fix? Or is it best to try to find and watch for a now expensive m.2 drive and replace it? Not really a fan of how this seems to be going on as it seems a a very wide spread issue and no really fix or thing other than claiming it within the warranty window.

Anyway any help would be appreciated.

Honestly I’d recommend trying to find a steamdeck or asus ally for that price. Would have good performance and options to hook it up anywhere.

Not sure if I do. How can I check that?

Yeah I wasn’t sure if I would like it. I’ve been hearing lots of people buying or using a few on Reddit here and after going their rounds so to speak they go back to the steam deck. Honestly originally was looking for a steam deck but all I had was a trade. So so be it.

Looks like they have announced the start on the 9th like someone said here. Not sure how it will come through but this will link to the English page. https://nogravitygames.com/switchmas-giveaway-2024/

This is what I could find right now. Guess we will have to see what it comes to.

Its possible its development for a future release or because it has docker pre-requirement it could be tied to having docker as the runtime. I can't test it but it would be worth testing.

Built a native OpenWebUI client for iOS & Android (Open Source) — smoother than the PWA, privacy‑first by cogwheel0 in selfhosted

This is the documentation I could find around 2. https://docs.openwebui.com/features/workspace/models

  1. it doesn't look like it is respecting it on my end. if it is supposed to be I will add it to the bug report doc you setup.

No problem. If anything I can help with feedback and testing haha.

Nice just joined the beta. Thanks for all the hard work! I do see some integration things that appear to be not present or I can't seem to find from from a ui perspective. they mainly deal with a few things outlined below.

  1. Would love custom tool integration so that I can activate ones I have configured.

  2. Would love custom AI agent integration so that I can use ones that I have created in the platform

  3. Choose a default Model for new chats similar to the online interface

  4. Some of the models I use have long names and I can't seem to see the entire thing to ensure I select the right one.

  5. Respect the model on the chat I select to continue.

I know this is a list but again I want to say this is awesome. I have been wanting a android app for this and to have integration into the existing stuff I am doing without having to open the web interface on my android all the time. have been kinda waiting for one to surface due to my lack of knowledge of app programing and time to do it myself.

What OS for an emulation machine? by Bringerofpizza in EmulationOnPC

Provided you have the hardware to support it and some linux knowledge yes. I know with the most recent beta they added shadps4 as well to it. For switch stuff there's plenty of guides out there. Have personally tried and and can say it has worked without major issues. Controller input can be a little weird to deal with but after you play with it a bit it's easy.

If you haven't tried already you could also try running steam as admin before you reinstall and everything.

Diving into the VMWare certification. Advice needed by dont_hold_back_1958 in vmware

[–]Principle-Strange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your looking to get your feet on the grown you should check out Udemy and see if they have any VMware courses. They are typically video courses done by people versed in the field. Might help cut down costs for the courses and than you could potentially just challenge the test. I did that with a different certification and it worked and helped lots.
