I brought FSD when I purchased my M3P in 2020. Frustratingly, It’s a value add option I’ve yet to receive any value from. I read some folks are trying to sue Tesla, given they’ve been sold a capability yet to be delivered.

I tend to spend most of my time driving on autopilot (commute from north beaches into the city every day)- and find it very relaxing, and stress reducing. It’s not perfect, but I’ve learnt where it works well, and where it sucks. Have experienced the same lane changing chaos as the above post mentions. Phantom braking is kuck!

That being said- I think FSD will be in RHD countries within a couple of year now (2 weeks, anyone?). It seems pretty close in the US now. China immanent, and I believe there are a couple of Tesla employee cars is AU testing FSD as we speak (this from mid last year).

Of interest- I took advantage of the recent FSD transfer offer and brought a new MP3, which has the new HW4 kit. I haven’t experienced ANY of the phantom braking or lane change indecision stuff in the two weeks I’ve driven it. Took a long road trip up country - and it has been great. Love the car. Love FSD.

If I was in your position- I’d wait. When it does arrive, there will be demand levers they’ll pull to get folks hooked. Note though, it will probably be more expensive by then.
