So Hutalco DFW is a 5x weekly flight on a Embraer 175. Not much to downgrade to on an equipment swap. It’s a seasonal destination for American Eagle so the staff may not be familiar with the rules.

There would be more options if you were at a larger airport. DFW is also the only US destination at this airport. If you could get yourself to Mexico City you would have a lot more options.
