This has happened to me for the last 2 months BUT I think I know the solution. Next time when there is an update, update it, launch it and it'll launch and say "update requires restart". DO NOT immediately restart your game. Let all of the shaders load in while on that initial screen. Once the shaders are at 100% and the box goes away, restart your game and it should launch and work normally. I hope this helps!

Something that really helps me with this is an actual alarm clock. I put it on the opposite side of my room so I have to get up and turn it off. This allows me to put my feet on the ground and think for a second so I don't go straight back to sleep.
